  1. I love your plaques and the color makes them pop. It is a great way to honor your friends with a gift that will mean a lot to your friend who is still alive and the family of the veteran that passed. Dick heppnerguy
  2. I looked at the top pieces and tried to figure out what they were supposed to be, thinking each was a different critter. I then traversed to the next photo and it all came together for me. Great job and good use of someone else's throw away scrap. Perfect Dick heppnerguy
  3. You are a creative person. Took the easy way and made it the way you wanted it to be and it also became an item that is instantly more useful too. Great job on this one too Dick heppnerguy
  4. A perfect job on another beautifully done pattern as well. I have yet to find one of your patterns that I would not wish to cut myself Dick heppnerguy
  5. We are all also glad you joined our family, (as we like to prefer this group as) too Dick heppnerguy
  6. Our family goes back a little farther than John Deere does with the tractor. My wife's great grandfather was the first person to build and mass produce the gasoline powered tractor. It was called the Little Bull. Here is a photo of it. Dick heppnerguy
  7. very well done. Your grandson will really enjoy this one. Be careful though, he might be sending you a big list of others who want one. \ Dick heppnerguy
  8. That finishes things quite well. Good idea. Dick heppnerguy
  9. All are very well done but the one I personally enjoyed the most was your snowman. It is so cute and your color choices are so outstanding. You do very nice work. I will be looking forward to more things you have made in the future Dick heppnerguy
  10. I know what you mean. I g et a lot of ideas from my family as well Dick heppnerguy
  11. Thank you very much. I was excited just to find the pattern and cut it. Question.....Have you had the opportunity to visit with Paul,(scrappile) yet. If not, the weather is getting warmer for travel in your parts now.... I also want to tell you that I am so happy that you have stayed in close connection with The Village, as you have discovered, if one makes the effort to log on often as you have done, they quickly find that they suddenly feel like they have a lot of new friends or even become a part of a new family... Am I right? Dick heppnerguy
  12. A good suggestion. I just may consider that, should I have a request for one in the future. Dick heppnerguy
  13. you know what? I was looking at black or blue for my background and got several votes on the two colors before I made up my mind and blue was the most voted color. Funny how everyone sees things a little differently, isn't it? So happy for you opinion though, thanks for the suggestion. Dick heppnerguy
  14. You are way too creative for my brain. Love all your ideas. Hope I can remember even one of them, sure would help if I could. Dick heppnerguy
  15. Gene. I got a big laugh out of your clever comment. Thanks for the humor today. Dick heppnerguy
  16. I bet he really liked that. If he takes it work and shows his working pardners you will probably be bombed to make a bunch more. Dick heppnerguy
  17. I love what you are doing. It is so wonderful when someone sees another being faithful to help a need and then to give her something special as a thank you for caring so much. Very honorable of you. I love it when people reach out like you did. Dick heppnerguy
  18. I too am glad you are on the mend but I sure feel sad about the infection coming on just as you thought you were over the hurts and pains. As far as you question, my reply is, because of the the lack of space around the pattern adding a frame would only end up covering some of the subject. If it were mine, what I would do is make the backer board extend out perhaps an inch all the way around, paint the backer board black and I believe that would make the finished item not seem too large for the wood and give it an added finished appearance. It is a really well cut pattern and definitely is something to be proud of. It is really up to the person cutting the piece as to what they like best, as it is YOUR PROJECT. By the way, there really is nothing at all wrong with how it is as long as it works for you Dick heppnerguy
  19. Thank you. I just could not resist buying the pattern and taking a stab at it Dick heppnerguy
  20. I just feel that the reflections of the windows, takes away from the reality and makes one start to guess as to what is going on in the pattern. I still think the next one I cut will not include the reflections and I will make a decision as to how I prefer it to be cut or at least give anyone that might be interested in having one, the choice. It appears that I am in the minority so that says my thoughts on it are also. I am glad other opinions are offered as I often learn a lot from them and I thank you for your honest comments. Dick heppnerguy
  21. that was my thoughts also. I just believe is takes away from the boat instead of adding. It turns out to just be a guess so that makes it a 'take away item' for me. I don't want to be guessing what it is supposed to be, I would rather know what I am looking at. Thank you for the input, my friend Dick heppnerguy
  22. Nice you found a way that is comfortable and still enables you to get your work done. I tried tilting my saw but I was never comfortable with it so I continue to use my saw in a flat possition Dick heppnerguy
  23. One of my problems also. Every once in awhile I seem to come up with a painted item I like but other than that, not so much. Hoep to see some great replies here as there are many who manage to do such a great job painting things. Dick heppnerguy
  24. Having been in model trains I can see why your scrolling has brought to where it is today. I got to go through the largest model train display in the world, which is located in Germany. If you have not seen it you should look it up on Youtube. I have been enjoying watching your posts. There are several other posts of it on YouTube also. Dick heppnerguy
