  1. If you get the few bugs worked out, it looks like a real winner. In fact, had I not read your message, It would have been a real winner as is. Like many things, people don't know the bobos if you don't mention them.
  2. I really like that.
  3. I have those, and they are good, but I prefer the Mac Mop. I have it mounted on my lathe and I use it mainly to remove the fuzzies off of the back of a scrolled, piece. It does a great job, wow they cost $20 more now than when I purchased the one I have. https://www.klingspor.com/shop/262644-mm630180178050-193045
  4. No, but I use a Mac Mop from Klingspor a lot, almost the same thing. I would not be without it. Looks like you can change it out to brushes. That would be great, I would think.
  5. When I do determine which way is up. I turn to my grinder and grind a point on the top end. Makes it easier to feed it up through the hole. Just my way.
  6. Okay, finishing is not, nor will it be, my thing. My eyes rolled back, I got dizzy, and I was as dumb about it as I always was! I guess I have to stick with spray on Deft as long as I can get it. After that?
  7. HA, that's cool!
  8. To me, finishes and finishing is the hardest part of woodworking, In all my years, I have never been comfortable with it or sure I was doing it correctly.
  9. Do not rely on it. My experience is some have, some do not, Sometimes it is at the top, sometimes not. I have it on my favorite blade, the Skip tooth in all these configurations, I run my finger up the blade to determine which way it should go up. Or maybe I am crazy.
  10. I like it!
  11. Very well done. I really like the wildlife scenes cut in live edge boards.
  12. Very cute little fellow. I did not know the "Elbows UP" thing; I had to look it up. Did not surprise me to see it was related to Hockey.
  13. Very beautiful work, Dave. I always look forward to seeing it posted.
  14. Denny, "The Bird Man of Tennessee"! I really like the multi-colored birds. I was just pondering the other night while wishing I could go back to sleep. What would a chess set look like if you use spectra ply for the pieces? Be kinda wild, I think.
  15. Welcome, but I have to say life aint fair. Been scrolling for probably 20 years and finally got a Hawk late last year. And it is a used one. You get one starting out. Glad to have you join us. Get at it, cut some wood.
  16. Found that the other day. Got two patterns of dogs to do. You did a very nice job.
  17. Thanks, @BadBob. I just read your response about learning something new every day. You just taught me something I did not know. You would think that would punch right through the wood but it does not.
  18. Interesting, I would not think they pack that much punch!
  19. Very nice! Great choice of woods. Those types of patterns are fun to cut.
  20. AI is just new. I do not even have a cell phone yet. Nothing against "New". I just would rather talk to people. So @JTTHECLOCKMAN, I say state your opinion. It will not offend me. I do not know if I love or hate AI. I have not been involved with it. Probably never will. At 81, I do not think I could figure it out, just like a cell phone. I do think with Gimp, and Inkscape, other available software; Pattern making is way more difficult than it should be. But just because I can't do it does not mean I hate it or it is bad. Just means it is all way over my abilities. I have been around computers most of my life. My main job when I got out of the service was as a computer operator, way back when Computers took up rooms. They were in climate-controlled rooms, cooled by liquids and took crews to operate them. So look what has happened in my lifetime. Now, a cell phone has more computing power than those old computers. Pictures back in my day: Yes, you had to wear a coat and tie to operate a computer, even on graveshit!
  21. welcome to the village. Glad to have you!
  22. Yep, me too!
  23. Absolutely beautiful. I have been wanting to make one. I'm not sure how much wood to buy to make the pieces. I have to add how much I mastered Chess. Years ago, my grandson went with me and my wife to see Mount Rushmore. It was one of our greatest vacations, not only to see Mount Rushmore but to have him go with us. Anyway, on the trip, I taught him how to play chess. He beat me every game!
  24. Does anyone here know how to use AI and test what would happen if you asked it to make a scroll saw pattern out of the picture? I have seen a few of what they called intarsia patterns recently, but to me, they did not look like patterns, more just pictures of intarsia pieces. I suppose someone could use them as patterns.
