I get a slight reaction to when using Cocobolo. I love the wood. I have quite a few pieces of it. But it does make my nose run and lots of sneezing.

Do a little searching Esty for Celtic knot patterns. I know Alex Fox has some in his Esty store.

I like those. Especially when the sun shines.

I used to use Mineral Spirits but have found I like Alcohol best. Either denatured or rubbing. I have been using up a couple of old bottles of Rubbing alcohol that have been around the house for years. The smell of Denatured does not bother me as much as the Rubbing. I find there is less residue left from the adhesive on the wood when I use alcohol, and it dries a lot faster than the Mineral Spirits.

Just finished this. It is to go with a previous one I did some time ago. I have two more I am going to try eventually. I tried some new things this time. I cut the white and removed the pattern from those pieces but left the pattern on the rest of the picture. Sprayed the white pieces. Last time, I hand-painted them. This worked well and was much easier and faster.

Humm. I would think the blades would last less time. The same teeth go through the wood over and over more than with a longer stroke at the same speed. I would think they would dull quicker. I am not sure I am making myself clear. Guess I need to try it. I cut something recently, and I really wanted accurate cuts, so I slowed the speed way down. I could cut more accurately, but it was very painful going that slow. I also wanted to cut slowly because I wanted to try some double-bevel marquetry one of these days.

Nice work, Denny. I have always wanted to make a set of those, but I never get invited weddings. I guess my dancing on tables dressed in a kelt playing my bagpipes is not appreciated.

WOW! That is a puzzle. I looked several times. Look, Hegner to me, surely a Hegner stand, worth$200 these days. I think I will send it to Advance Machinery and see what they say. I can see some missing parts if it is a Hegner, but that old of a machine doen't mean it is not...

So far, we have had a very mild winter. High 30's and low 40's with a few low 50s thrown in. But hang on, February can sometimes be our worst.

Just finished up another little toy for the young friend. Another Steve Good pattern.

For me, Adobe is slow to load and sometimes, what loads the print post option does not work. That is why I ended up with "SplitPrint". Works with PDF, JPG and some others. Gives cut marks if requested. Size by inches, mm, or number of pages.

Interesting. I know about being able to change the stroke, but I have never tried it on mine. May get brave and give it a go.

I found that alcohol cleans up 3M77 very well. Any alcohol, rubbing, denatured, does not matter. I have attached several cutting to a backer using 3M77 an all are still together after several years.
