Beautifully cut and finished on all of them.
  4. They will book awfully nice sitting on the teachers desks. Great work.
  5. Nicely done.
  6. Very very nice looking. Great cutting job. Another pattern that I probably wouid have passed by but after seeing how you cut it I will be downloading the pattern.
  7. I do it often. I do not use straight BLO, I mix it 50/50 with mineral spirit. I let it dry for about a week before spraying with the Poly.
  8. Welcome, glad you joined.
  9. I've visited there, about 20 years ago. From what I remember I was thinking if I lived there I would have to have a sail boat. My son and is wife got their sailing certificates while he was stationed around there somewhere. That's not much help to you though.
  10. Very well done. Big leopard fan here.
  11. Thanks for the response, Paul. No I meant the gray arm itself. The one thing I do not like about my Hegner is the arm does not lift very much, like the Excalibur does. Makes it hard to go from one hole to the next. Seems do me any other thing in that area would only make it harder. I don't know, I took mine off right after I got the saw. Thanks again. Paul
  12. Paul there is lots of great things you are showing here. Almost missed it because I haven't revisited this thread, knowing I had already looked at and responded to your first post. Glad I came back. What I am hinting at is maybe you should start new threads for new projects you are showing or others like me may miss seeing your fine work. Nice video also. I have two questions, if I may: One is on your Hegner saw, why do you leave the gray "hold down" arm on? Do you ever use your "hold down"? I removed mine because it sometimes got in the way when I went from hole to hole on the piece I am cutting. Just curious if there is a reason I should not have removed it. The second is what kind of blade do you use to cut acrylic? Is there a special blade just for it... Thanks .
  13. Very well done. I really like the "farm" theme.
  14. So glad to meet you Anita. Now I see why Gator wanted the second saw. That is a great deal. It is always great to share hobbies, or at least each have a hobby. My wife quilts so when she is quilting I'm scrolling and she can't complain about it! When she buys material or other quilting needs, I buy wood, patterns or blades, she can't complain about it! I love her hobby.... She is ahead of me though, the quilting gets more expensive than the scrolling.
  15. WOW! I'm struggling with a 14" one! Great job Kevin.
  16. Another well done, Steve.
  17. Well done Steve.
  18. That is great looking. I could not see a break. Great cutting. What amazes me is I have looked at that pattern and thought nice, but not great. Then I see what you did with it and that moved it to "great".
  19. Glad to have your and great choice on a replacement saw. You will love the Excalibur.
  20. Just as I thought, a great picture. Thanks for re-posting.
  21. To bad they can not send some of that to California. They could use it.
  22. Unfortunately I have never found a delete button to delete a post. But you can use the "Full Editor and delete the attachment and re-post one,, I think. What I see you the small picture you die a fantastic job on the piece.
  23. Well I wrote a response and lost it somehow. I think you did a great job on pattern and cutting. The eyes really draw you, the faces are super. I don't think the gentleman's hair quit reflects his hair, but I do not know how it could be improved, nor could I do near as well. Very nicely done.
  24. Those look great. Working on one myself, Kevin. I increased the size of mine to 14" wingspan. It will be a wall hanging, if it turns out well enough that I would not be ashamed to hang it. Which means it needs to look almost as nice as your. Great to see you are getting some scroll time.
  25. Great portrait! I miss the Duke.
