  1. As a kid, that was who I was going to marry when I grew up! Nicely done.
  2. Very nice!
  3. I've looked at that plans so many times, but have not had the confidence that I would ever get it done. I still have to finish his "Five Dragon Box". You did an absolutely beautiful job on it.
  4. Joe, I know Lowes and Home Depot do not sell Baltic Birch. I doubt is ACE does either. Do not know about Menards. Baltic Birch normally comes in 5' x 5' sheets although some have found it in 8' x 4'. In my area several lumber yard stores sell it as well as a local place that sells unfinished furniture. Shop around at those types of stores. Use your phone. I prefer 1/4" but others do prefer 1/8". It is just a matter of preference.
  5. Well Mr. Steve, that is beautiful! I love it, I will get that pattern. Great, great job Steve. When I was making pens, I use to get some stuff called "Alternate Ivory". It usually only came in smaller sizes but it would be neat if I could find some in a larger piece. Course, I do not know if it would cut on a scroll saw.
  6. Looks good to me. I had a little trouble making out "Riverview" , don't know why, once I got my eyes focused it was easy. Great cutting. She will like that for sure.
  7. Great, progress! You will be scrolling away soon.
  8. Great scrolling.
  9. That is some very clean cutting.
  10. Never been a fan, actually never really paid much attention, but I can say that is a great pattern and great job cutting it.
  11. Leopards are my favorite. You really did them proud. Great work. I have seen that pattern but cannot remember where. Not a Charles Dearing pattern is it?
  12. I like them both! That is some very nice scrolling.
  13. Kevin, I hope you get to feeling better very soon. Sorry you are experiencing the health problems. You have convinced me, I am going to cut that eagle pattern real soon. It has been shown several times lately and I really like it. I think I will leave out the stand and do it just as a wall hanging. Get better soon.
  14. Thank you, and same back at you and all the rest of the Fathers.
  15. Oh, I thought maybe my scrolling job was so bad you couldn't really tell if it was a wolf or a leopard!! My wife prefers I forget my wallet, so if I get lost there is less chance I will find my way home!! Yep I definitely prefer not using tape. But like I said I feel there are times it may be helpful.
  16. Well done. I love the Native American portraits.
  17. That is outstanding. What a great looking portrait. The word art intrigrated into it really is a wonderful addition. Very well done, sir.
  18. The only advantage to the painter's tape is the blade lubrication. If you are using spiral blades you don't need it because I have never experienced blade burn with a spiral blade. But you can get it using straight blades. I have done tests with it and at least proven to myself that the tape greatly helps prevents burning. This is especially the case when cutting something like 1/2" cherry. I definitely prefer to not use blue tape but I will when I feel it will help. The clear packing tape I quit using totally. And just to set the record straight, if the Paul you are referring to that took two hours to remove the tape/pattern on my last picture is this Paul, it was a roaring leopard, not a howling wolf!!
  19. Nice items. I haven't even sat down at my scrollsaw for a couple days. Things need to quite down so I get some scroll time!
  20. Great scrolling. Glad you are up and running again.
  21. I'd say that is what is called scary delicate! Great cutting and a great picture.
  22. Great looking box.
  23. Well done. The blue background really livens things up.
  24. Nice to have you join us Lilly.
  25. Wow do I like that. Very well done. Great choice of colors, just great all around.
