    I would agree with Ray, but this is glued pieces,, I think it works, subtle, sometime I like subtle.

    Thanks! I do not paint the edges, using a 0 size blade, the pieces would not fit together it I painted the edges.

    What does the baking do to the wood, change color, can you sand the clay flat?

    I like the idea, hint, the thick Delta Acrylic paints can hide a multitude of mistakes.....

    Those puzzles are beautiful, I would frame them and hang them instead of playing with them. Looking at the pattern (I have not watched the video), I figured the dotted line was to follow with the bandsaw cut.

    Yes that is correct. Cut out at 90°, unlike inlay.

    @FrankEV, I was using and very satisfied with Adobe print "free Version" poster option. But it went away suddenly and it appears there is no free version of Adobe anymore. So I am going to have to learn inkscape I guess. I am on a Mac and Inkscape appears to be a little different for Mac than Microsoft. I need to spend some time figuring it out.

    Thanks for the nice comment. Putting the pieces back together is the fun part, I am always worrying I may have lost a piece or they won't fit, very satifying when it all goes together. The only problem I had was I increased the size of the picture, and it was very pixelated(?), no clean lines to follow. I have got to resolve that before I do more. I I used Delta Creamcoat Acrylic paint. Painted with a brush. Finished with my go to Deft Clear Wood Finish Semi-Gloss.

    I have always loved the NW Costal Native American Art. This is one I did from a picture by Glen Rabena called "Kingfisher". I will frame it when I decide what would be appropriate. Done in 1/4" BB. Cut mostly with a size 0 Pegas Double skip tooth.

    Great job, Dick. I still have not finished sanding the pieces on my first real intarsia project. Maybe someday I will get back to it.. Wait, I maybe running out of somedays. Guess I need to work harder.

    My Hegner does not take 2 tools to put the blade in the top clamp. That setup on the that Hawk is almost as bad as the old craftsman I started with. Took two tools on both upper and lower clamps to install a blade. Do the new Hawks require tools to install blades? Hegner requires a special wrench to do the bottom, but it is straight forward and easy.

    I can't even figure out how to read it! Is there any part on the back that is stationary, that you could use as a mount? Both discs have to rotate, so you can't mount it like a clock. I did an image search and there are a few ideas. Looks like some have it in an insert made of some material, like a clock. So can the back disc be stationary and you can set it my just rotating the front disc? example: https://www.ebay.com/itm/324559272770

    Great picturer, Dick. I finally had to have our old cat put down last Monday. I got to the point he quite eating. It was time. He was a good one. And our last one.
