  1. I agree is a great show. And another great pattern/cutting by you!
  2. Yep, when most important things just seem to become most difficult. But the end result no matter how difficult to get theres is awesome.
  3. Got to say, I wish there was a way to adapt that fence to my Stew Mac plunge base. That is pretty neat.
  4. Great picture. I love to watch Border Collies do their work. Amazing dogs.
  5. Welcome to the forum. I have always been a wanta be wood carver, but that takes talent I do not have. Hope you will post some of your carving.
  6. Very, very nice. I use bits as small as #70, But you need to have something with a chuck that closes all the way. Fortunately, my drill press chuck does.
  7. NICE! Those little teddy bears would be nice to give to little kids. But I got nervous handing thing to young kids in this day and age. I added a epoxy heart to mine and called them care bears.
  8. Okay, you say so,, I may have to have another beer... Really, I cannot wait to see your finished project. Carry on.
  9. Beautiful piece of cherry, looks to have some curl in it. Makes a very nice picture.
  10. Good point, Alex. I did not think of that, I guess a person could modify each pattern to not have a name. Write the name on the back of each piece to keep it identified until it is put in it's proper place.
  11. Here is the best you can get for what you want, in my opinion. I have this one: https://www.stewmac.com/luthier-tools-and-supplies/types-of-tools/routers-and-bits/routers/precision-router-base/ it is smaller than dremels, I think. I also have the parts to make it a plunge base if I want. Simple conversion. Or you can go all out and get this one: https://www.stewmac.com/luthier-tools-and-supplies/types-of-tools/routers-and-bits/routers/stewmac-plunge-router-base/. It's own light where you need it and a blower to blow the dust away. Nice deal on it right now two bases for the price of one. If I were going to be making a lot of models I would get their plunge. I could see all kinds of uses for it in model making. I bought mine for making cigar box guitars. I use it a lot.
  12. Very well cut and finished. Great job.
  13. coming along very nicely. Great job!
  14. I'd like to see someone do them all and put them in a frame shaped like the border of the U.S. It would be an impressive project. Would me a massive project!
  15. Just a note. When Marie cam to visit Heppnerguy and me, she brought the board she would use to make this picture with. On the board she had hand drawn the trees, and grass that she used as a pattern to cut. We had a great time discussing how she could accomplish it, believe me she had it pretty well all figured out. I would have been happy just hanging her hand drawn picture up on a wall.
  16. @MarieC, just wanted to add, showed the picture to Patti, because she saw you concept drawing on the board.. Her response is WOW!
  17. Another beautiful picture Marie! You have taken scrolling to a very high level. Wonderful job!
  18. Beautiful, Dave. I have to agree with every entry so fan and I sure I well agree with that follow.
  19. You usual great scrolling. Beautiful box.
  20. Nice! I dare not show this to my wife.
  21. Get real use to cutting and tension with the FD blades and the saw. Then try the Pegas blades again. I experienced the same, but for some reason all of a sudden I was able to use the Pegas blades. I use both now. FD' are stiffer than Pagas, And for me Pegas will break easier, but not often enough to bother me. That was my experience anyway.
  22. Very nice cutting and fitting, the second one should be in my shop!
  23. I agree with all of the above accolades! Great piece.
  24. I'd say bring out the solid walnut.. That looks great to me. How do you feel about it? That is the most important critic.
  25. Got to love the big cats.. you did a fine job!
