that is a very nice Jelly. Interesting site. I loved the round 4th of July one. Almost ordered one to see if I could cut one on the sroll saw, But NO more projects for me until I completed ones started.

I knew it, Dave, when you asked about or showed one several weeks ago you were planning something really cool, You never let us down. But I say shut up you two about the moves.. I am an old chess player from way back.. I hold a record that I am very proud of, I have never won a game! Several years ago, My grandson went with us to Mount Rushmore, I decided to teach him to play chess on that trip...He beat me on my first game when I was trying to train him!!

That is awesome, well done. Models are a real fun build. Like you it is something I work on off and on over a long period of time. I just purchased a model "T" plan a few weeks ago. That will be project number 3 that I work on sometimes. I am getting old, I have got to step it up some.

The Table saw has sent me to the floor and emergency a couple times. But lucky for me nothing this serious.. I really hope you are kidding.. The worst I have done was 17 stitches to the back of my hand. I still love my table saw.. Not it's fault that I do stupid sometimes!

I am pretty sure lilac wood is not lilac color. In fact I think it is white. Am I wrong?

I wasn't so fussy about it until I tried doing intarsia. Then it became pretty important. Watching it closely is helping me correct a problem I have, but didn't realize it until I started intarsia and that is pushing the blade to one side and causing a "Not" 90° cut. I am improving but a hard habit to overcome. I check the blade for squareness, then check my cut for squareness, very often.... Getting better.

Well Purple heart is not really lavender to me but it is the only real purple wood I know of. When I have used it and finished it with an oil finish it has turned more of a cranberry color, pretty for sure, but not purple. And over time it will turn a deep brownish color. I have seen some purple tinted wood in popular but is is more like streaks than a piece of purple. So if you really want lavender like @Dave Monk, statedt to stay somewhere near lavender, paint is the only thing I know or some of the color from some other coloring media I am not familiar with. There are some weird named ones out there.. Oh, I just remembered one,,, unicorn spit, or something like that.

Welcome to the village. If you can do it with a coping saw, I would think a scroll saw would be no challenge.
