I use paste wax on mine. Maybe once a month. Works wonders for me.

I have been signing mine by hand using a fine tip permanent marker. The spray a finish coat over it sealing it. The stickers I was using never stayed on very well.

I have tried many ways and they all left less then sharp edges when painted. Then best way I found was use carbon paper, trace onto the wood, carefully cut the lines with an exacto knife then hand paint with acrylics. If you rush the letters and paint past the cut line, you have a heck of a time cleaning it up. Interested in seeing what this works out to.

Len you are correct. I can turn them so far, but don't have a thin parting tool. Also I make a jig for drilling out the centers for axles or mounting pins. Using the scroll saw to separate them leave the mark for center also. I just do mine differently I guess. Appreciate the insight and question though.

I would use my lathe to make the wheels. Take a long dowel , turn to the right diameter and mark of the wheels width the turn them. Separate with a scroll saw and drill the center holes for axles if needed.

I feel your pain. Done that myself when the phone cord pulled the carrier off the shelf and into a scrap box. Heart wrenching for sure.

I remember seeing plans for a velocipede. Scrollsaw works like riding a bike. A friend of mine in Duluth Georgia made one. I'll write him and ask him where he got the plans. That might help out with some of the mechanics.

Josh I agree with what the others said. I know from personal experience that it takes a while to get your name out there and be recognized for you work and craftsmanship. I don't do a lot of portraits, But the ones I do require special customers. The wildlife ones go pretty well here in PA. Be patient and consistent and things will work out in time.

This would be a very interesting project to do. I remember seeing a gentleman the cut it in scroll saw magazine but never seen the pattern.

I will agree with the number 5 reverse. Taping both sides will help keep it from chipping out. Slow the saw down to a crawl and take your time and you should be fine. Let us know how it works out and a pic of course

I was looking at an older ex on craigslist. Wrote Seyco about and 2 days later got a response.. It was an honest opinion too, basically said no parts available for that model anymore. So I walked away from it. May be worth the time to write and ask a few questions, be patient for the reply though. I understand he is very busy.

Glad nobody got hurt with the wheel. Sounds like you are in overtime cutting in the shop. Interested in seeing photos also, those bird houses sound like fun. Enjoy the zoo, like others said, watch the monkeys as they are not always so cute when they start throwing stinky stuff at you.

Glad your getting there, just follow the Dr.s orders and keep up the therapy and things will be better. As for a wife thata pushes, mine does, doesn't know the meaning of no. After going through several things, I was glad o have her behind me. Otherwise I may not have completed my therapy as needed.

Congrats man. That is what a lot of hope to have happen. I will give my wife credit, she can sell stuff really good. Just need her to work on special orders but she is affraid to price them. Keep busy and watch things grow

I went back up last night and it worked fine for me. Bobd replied to my post on FB and the issue I had was fixed.

I went throught the same. Got the ready to install, clicked on it, and wouldn't you kow my hard drive crashed. This was a HD error and not from Windows 10. Not sure if I will get the opportunity to do it again or not. From what I understand it is backwards compaitible though.

If your talking about the adhesive for the pattern. Mineral spirits works pretty good on it, use fresh paper towels or rags and store appropriatly after. I have also ways stuck with the blue painters tape because it to me seems a lot cleaner to remove. Best of luck.

Ike. Seen this before, thanks for bringing back to light. I rate this right up there with Ted's Woodworking. They are all rip offs to unsuspecting new comers all excited and the new found hobby or interest.
