  1. On a pattern like this, I cut the black out. So if it has a heavy line it all goes.
  2. I have been using a double T5 fixture above my saw. Plenty of good light, I also use the high output lights in it.
  3. Nice job, good work. The first time I attempted it was a disaster.
  4. Well done looks good
  5. Love it. Great job. :)
  6. I'm definitely interested in the responses to this also.
  7. I agree with Dick. Not big on painting things of wood. But it does ad a nice touch and look to this. Nice job.
  8. I use #1 or #3 Ultra Reverse for this. Also if you have small pieces to cut, use a zero clearance block to protect the piece from breaking. A playing card taped down around the blade works wonders for this.
  9. I have been using saw tooth hangers large and small and also D-ring hangers for smaller pieces. I try to screw them on the backer, but i too this, then I attach them with E-6000 glue. Works wonderful for me.
  10. I think a lot of people have been following the type I and Type II. The way I understand it, the type I are the better of the two. But the type II have made progress over the past few years, No matter which one you got, best of luck and many happy hours scrolling
  11. WOW to have everything in one common area. Nice job, lots of thought and planning. Keep the updates coming as you can
  12. I have been using the bits from Mike's Workshop too. I also have the adapter to fit my drill press.
  13. well done.
  14. Well done and very thoughtful.
  15. foot switch, a good light (with a magnifier if needed) and a dust mask are all very important. I have a nice stool I use and my saw is mounted on a homemade stand that is heavy. A lot of wood and a big dose of patience. Welcome to the addiction
  16. Nice work. If it looks this good first time, imagine after practice. Yours came out very nice.
  17. I use Flying Dutchman only. For 1/4 inch bb I normally use a #3 Ultra Reverse, even when stack cutting 2 deep. I have used a #5 UR but seem the #3 handles it well for me.
  18. Nice job. I'm sure he will enjoy his house.
  19. I have been sitting on the fence about a Hegner or Ex. I think it would be great if there was a place that you could go and try out all the saws before making a decision and purchase. I know it's only a hopeful dream but in my area most people have a DeWalt. Like anything else you can get the one bad apple in the bunch, but my final choice was Ex. Mainly because the table stays flat for cutting. All these saws receive good reviews, so it comes down to personal choice to me.
  20. Fantastic job Dick. I'm sure it will be well received and loved.

  22. Wished I lived closer to this.
  23. Beautiful job. Love the look.
  24. Great job on that Dick. Thanks for sharing
  25. Thanks for sharing. You can see a lot of thought and planning went into it. Never thought about a rocker style light switch being used like that. The o nly thing I seen missing was the saw dust .
