I don't have the ability or the equipment to do any real spraying. Rattle cans and maybe the cheap air brush kit from H/F will have to suffice. All of our homes here are on antiquted power systems. 50 amp per home max. So, no big conpressor for me.

No, I couldn't get them to go where I was trying to guide them to. I switched back to the modified geo blades and solved the problem. I'm still trying to figure out all the different types of blades much less the brand. I have never used anything but the #5 mg from Pegas and they work great. But the project that I'm working on demanded a smaller blade so I decided to try the #3 super skips that I just bought. I really bought them for doing 3-D stuff. I'm going to order some #1's and 2\0's. I only have 2/0's in a plain cut blade for doing marquetry. I bought them from a jewelry making place that was recommended by the teacher of the class I took. I bought 2 gross of them and haven't even unwrapped them yet. I'm making tissue box covers and I got an order for one with the hummingbirds on it. That has proven to be a real challenge for me. So far, I've cut the 4 sides 3 times and I'm still not happy with the look but they are going to have to suffice for now. The veining, to me, doesn't show enough with the #1 blades. I think it should be been done with a larger blade. But, when I tried it on the first set, it broke a couple of the tail feathers. But I think I know why now. So, the next time, I'll change how I do it.

Paul, I tried them on my current project and didn't really like them. But I was using one of my Ex's. Maybe on the Hegner they might work better for me.

Where do you find something like that? Never mind, I found it on Amazon. I have one coming.

Yes, since I sold tools for 40 years I became very familiar with adapting all the different air line connections. I stocked all that stuff. My source is still there but I don't need dozens of each size so I will have to hunt down some of my old cohorts who are still in the business.

To respond to all your comments, it was just something that I ran across and thought I'd pass it along. I doubt that I would ever add it to my saws either. Sorry if it was out of line.

Well, what I meant was the part about the clock insert. That does add something to the story. I agree with you about a larger box but somebody in the shipping department didn't want to take the time to check with you. As for the folding of the patterns, I told them that many other sellers use mailing tubes with no problem. Anyway, what it comes down to is that Cherry Tree has more business than they can handle and don't really care if they piss off a few folks in the process of doing business. To me, all businesses should have a live person that you can call or that can call you if there is ANY question as to an order. It would have been a simple thing to contact you and ask how you'd prefer it to be handled/packages/shipped. For me, I won't be doing business with them in the future.

Kevin I agree with everything you said. BUT, where I live driving anywhere will never be a mini vacation. Driving here is a nightmare anytime of the day or night. I drove to Cherokee the other day. I tried to time it to miss the rush hour times both morning & afternoon. About 35 miles each way. Counting the half hour at the yard it was a 4 hour round trip in very heavy traffic on worn out freeways among drivers from every country on Earth. Not a vacation in any sense of the word.
