  1. How do you right click on a phone? Please!
  2. I'd like to watch these on the big screen. Can you post a link to them?
  3. Did they come from the factory in 91 with the tension lever arm? I could not ask the original owner as he has passed. His daughter knows nothing about the saw.
  4. I just found a great deal on a 1991 Multimax 18 with the front tension lever/arm assembly. But, something is weird. It's not a variable speed saw. The switch box has a rocker switch on the right outside of it but no adjustment knob for speed control. Anybody ever seen one like that?
  5. I always just lean mine against whatever happens to be at hand. lol.
  6. I wrote to them and expressed my disappointment in how you have been treated. I hope they take it to heart.
  7. They need to understand how unhappy you are. Maybe if they start hearing from some of us to say that we will not be buying from them because of how you were treated, they might rethink their how they service their customers. I'm going to email them right now.
  8. Those aren't mills. They are stores. Sort of like H/D, Lowes, etc. They buy their wood from suppliers. As a side note to your suggestion, I do have Cherokee Wood Products within an hour's drive of me. And that's at our high traffic situation. I was just out there last week and bout some BB plywood. As usual, I came away with more than I paid for. They always give me a box of two of pieces that they can't sell. This time, I got a box loaded with purple heart. Great folks out there. I strongly recommend any of you folks West of the Mississippi give them a try. They really do try hard to keep the shipping costs down and their prices for scroll saw wood are very good. Talk to Chris. After checking out the link you included for Jones Lumber, I have to apologize. I have never heard of them but after looking up their website, they appear to be a mill in the true sense of the word. I'll have to make a trip over there as they are closer to me than even Cherokee. Thanks and again, my apologies. Another great place is Austin Hardwood center but again, they don't mill onsite. Here is another place near me that I had forgotten all about. They are also great to deal with. The owner has a quasi WWII/Vietnam war museum onsite and loves to show it off. Been there one time. http://www.aitwood.com/default.asp
  9. No mills in my area. All they build here is high density housing. With no parking. It's a sad situation.
  10. It's not your imagination. I also have Ex saws and after installing the Pegas kits, they both ran quieter and smoother.
  11. They will never know how unhappy you are until you tell them. You know the old saying, "a happy customer tells their friends. An unhappy customer tells everybody". Believe me, it's true.
  12. I'd send them back.
  13. Bill, when you say "shellac" are you referring to the type you mix yourself or the pre-mixed? Just want to be clear as I'm learning too. Finishing is my downfall at this point. I can cut anything but the finishing is where I lose it. To edit, I've been using Zinnser's spray shellac. Is that the same thing?
  14. Excellent!
  15. Wow! Sounds great. Did you get a good price on it?
  16. Call Wolfgang at Advanced Machinery. Talk to him. He'll give you some help. Great guy.
  17. Great video. Where'd you find it? I thought I'd seen all the vids on youtube re: marquetry.
  18. Congrats Aberdeen. Be sure to post pics of your work once you get it all tuned up.
  19. As mentioned, if you buy it do a tear down and service the bearings. I did it on my type 1 and after adding the Pegas clamps it purred and as far as I know it still is.
  20. I just had a brain fart. They come seldom anymore. Everybody complains that the clear tape comes up and lets dust get under it. Would it maybe help to spray a light coat of adhesive to the blue tape, let it dry for a bit and then apply the clear tape over it? For those who feel the need for the clear tape, this might make it stay down. I've not tried it but just thought maybe. End of fart!
  21. And all the other dust producing opps? I have dust collection, an air cleaner and I still wear a mask. And you should see the filters on the outside. They still collect dust from the air. Scrolling is almost as bad as sanding. Maybe worse. Very fine dust. And we all cut toxic woods.
  22. And your lungs are doing the same.
  23. You will have to move the anvil screw to the other side. Reverse both screws.
  24. Could you not put the clamp knob on be right side?
  25. My Ex16 is green/Taiwan. My Ex21 is green/Canada.
