  1. Kevin, I realize your location is far different from where I live but here, you'd have no problem getting $500 for your saw. So start there and adjust accordingly.
  2. Kevin, the MetroVac looks like the Seyco unit and the one I have works great with a t'd setup.
  3. We have had an ongoing discussion regarding dust control and I have built a system that is onboard and moves with the saw. I can take my saw outdoors and the system goes with it. It's all controlled off the foot switch. It incorporates a MetroVac500 with a mini cyclone. It has above and below dust pickups. And since I made a home brew muffler for the vac, it's also very quiet.
  4. All of the Hegners I have seen look like they have been dragged across the garage floor. The front edges of the table and the stands all look bad.
  5. That was the one thing that I was going to add. I've added it to all of my saws so if it was included in a saw and worked without creating a "suction" problem, that would be a big selling point for me. Far more important than a dust blower. The Pegas and late Ex's tried but created a problem with too much suction to the point of making the wood immoveable. And nothing above the table. Not rocket science.
  6. Theartfactory.com
  7. What brand is that?
  8. Dave, I thought you were aiming your comment at me. My bad!
  9. Shouldn't have any trouble finding hired help down there.
  10. If I could get away without my wife I'd be tempted.
  11. I'd love to be involved if I wasn't too old and 3000 miles away. Go for it!
  12. That looks like a fun cut. I'll have to search out the pattern. Thanks.
  13. I'm forbidden from saying what I'm thinking.
  14. Welcome to the forum. It's by far the best there is. And you'll find an answer to just about anything you can ask. I know we all look forward to seeing what kind of work you are doing and interested in. Please be sure to include pics as we all love pics.
  15. Same here is sunny Southern California. Prices go up but NEVER come back down to where they were. As our dollar becomes less and less valuable, we will have to live with the hyper inflation.
  16. Thanks for saying that Dave. I have been thinking the same thing. If/when the need arises for a larger table, just make a topper.
  17. Dave it's beautiful and would have been appreciated by someone. But, I'm like you and won't hang my name on anything that I can't be proud of. Sad!
  18. Where are you? There is one near me in So Cal. I have no idea of condition.
  19. I think the only difference between your saw and the one in the manual is throat capacity. 16 inch/20 inch. If the model numbers mean anything. As for maintenance, I think you will have to wing it. Planned obsolescence was what they had in mind. Wear it out and replace it. A few drops of oil at any wear points will go a long way.
  20. Yeah, they haven't gotten to that yet. I get mine from Canada.
  21. Here where I live, we have to use turpentine and whiskey. Not good.
  22. This would be a great idea if I still had a strong back. Not anymore. Sad!
