  1. Well done! Beautiful shaping.
  2. Welcome from the centre of Canada! With that selection of woods, you should jump into Intarsia.
  3. In a previous discussion, someone asked "who is checking?" It does seem rather skimpy for use.
  4. If it is delicate for sanding, I wonder if it would be good for easing edges on the puzzles.
  5. Those are lovely. Hope they sell well.
  6. Good luck with it.
  7. I used Steve Good's key chain maker. Not sure why they came out as small as they did. They are 3.5" long x 1/2" wide. Used 1/4" poplar. You don't have to steal it.... I give you permission
  8. Looks great @don in brooklin on. This was my take on Elbows Up. I did take two and turn them into earrings that I wear when I go out.
  9. Stunning work @Dave Monk. That hummingbird pattern is sure flitting around. On a different topic, did you get into that big juried show?
  10. It was a day later when I realized the mistake.
  11. Bragging rights-not. This was supposed to be a shower gift for my niece. I stupidly glued the base to the rings before sanding. While tring to correct, made some gouges in the bottom. I am now the owner of a new, small bowl! Made with Poplar. Locer the grain in it. Finish is beeswax/mineral oil. Maybe we need to start a new category.....Not Bragging Rights
  12. That is pretty cool. There has been someone posting lots of these styles. I just did a quick search on Spiral Betty. Can you post a link to the one you used, please.
  13. Lovely work. Did you use a spiral or flat blade?
  14. Somewhere, in my collection of patterns, I do have one for a purse. Never got around to making it.
  15. I have built and sold a bendy guy. I tried to change the face to a santa face last Christmas. Didn't like the look of the face I did. I have seen someone do Steve's pattern and then created a banner for the floppy guy to hold. It was very cute.
  16. Beautiful.
  17. Very nice. I am getting ready to cut a bowl from her book as a wedding present. Just wondering what angle you cut that at?
  18. Another stunning heirloom piece @MarieC
  19. Thanks for the link. I actually have the Nautical chess set. Started making that years ago. Never did get it finished. I also purchased a larger lantern pattern from him.
  20. Looks very nice. Good clean lines. What font did you use?
  21. The lighthouse patterns are by Sue Mey. Issue # 87 of the SSWC or from her website https://scrollsawartist.com/.
  22. Here are two lighthouses. Cut from cedar with a #5 ultra reverse blade. Thanks to @don in brooklin onfor help on the patterns. Apples also cut from the cedar. Birdhouses were cut from unknown wood, but probably spruce. It was a piece of post/rail material. Finish is one coat of Garnet Shellac.
  23. Nice cutting Denny. Did you apply the mat board after the dipping and spraying?
  24. now you have jinxed yourself.
