  1. At this point, I only sign my initials - BE. The way I write it, it flows together.
  2. I wear an Elipse Low profile mask. Purchased one through Wood Chuckers in the GTA area. The one I have now was from Lee Valley. It is also important to wear while doing the hand sanding. That creates lots of dust as well.
  3. I knew I wanted to do this when I first saw it. Steve Good pattern, reduced to 75%. Cut in live edge, reclaimed Elm. There is a knot that I had hoped would add interest. Part if the edge fell out. Used a #1 mg blade, finish is Walrus Oil. Now I have to decide if this is okay to sell!
  4. Not my idea of a good subject BUT, wow Frank, that painting is amazing!
  5. Very nice. If you do want to add colour, yes, the bow made red. Instead of painting, I would just take a red sharpie and draw on the top of the bow.
  6. If only it was $5. Between exchange rates and shipping it is always way more than the original cost of the magazine. At least it was a few years ago when last I checked.
  7. They had self-service copiers. Not sure if there are scanners. I guess I am just getting obsolete!!! I had hoped that I could get help by walking into the store.
  8. I recently went to Staples to have an intarsia pattern scanned. I was going to have to leave it there for them to do. They said they had on-line orders to get through first. What ever happened to customer service? In my mind, a person, in store, should come first.
  9. This is what I do as well!
  10. I have a spare Metro vac I would sell to you but the shipping wouldn't make it cost effective!
  11. The only Christmas thing I did in December!
  12. This is from the latest issue of SSW magazine. Cut from Poplar, Unicorn Spit stain on the top side only. Beeswax/mineral oil finish. Destin for my nephews once the postal strike is over.
  13. Very nice.
  14. Neat idea. Does the link slide into the decorative part. If so, I would just make a bunch of each and put together each year.
  15. Got the Sailing Downwind completed. Woods used - Maple, Mahogany, Walnut. Finished with Walrus Oil. Pattern designer is Steve Bunder from Fantastic Woodworking.
  16. Thanks. I just posted a photo of it with some of my knives.
  17. Don't know. I was "sub-contracted" to make this.
  18. It is a knife block. Will hold up to 6 knives and the steel
  19. This is a custom order. Never to be done again! Thanks to @don in brooklin on and @Fab4 for some pattern help. Cut from assorted plywoods. Finished with Walrus Oil.
  20. An heirloom piece.
  21. Looks great. Don is always quick to help with a pattern. Thanks for all your help.
  22. I join the masses - the stained glass looks great. It has texture to it which changes the light. The acrylic is nice as well.
  23. Could you share the pattern maker's name so if others want to make it, they can contact the maker?
  24. Thanks Don. I think that will be my niece's shower gift next year.
  25. I can't even tell you to purchase the pattern. At this time, it hasn't be published.
