  1. Very nice Frank.
  2. The 3M77 wasn't the problem. It was an older heavy duty glue that I had used on the boat to hold the headliner (carpet on the ceiling) to the fiberglass. The problem is all the little spaces that the glue got into. It looked like a spiderweb before I cleaned it up a bit.
  3. Well, it doesn't really belong here except it is a finished project. Don't remember exactly where the artwork came from, but is was free. This 7"x7" using the craft panels from KJP Select and stack cut 2. Mirror finish is a peel & stick roll on masonite backer. Used some older, heavy-duty spray, thinking it would be easier to apply evenly, with no squeeze out. Well.....it came out very stringy. Tried cleaning it up with the sanding mop. That exploded!!!! Down to one! Cleaned it up a bit. Sprayed with 3m77. Not a great hold, but no squeeze out. There are still blobs of the bad glue so this one will be hung in the workshop instead of being sold. This is a giraffe looking down and backwards at you!
  4. That is some very nice, clean cutting. I see you cut in from the edge. Interesting. When I do a stack I will make an entry hole, in the waste area, then cut in. It will keep the stack together, but then I use tape.
  5. Sorry about that @BadBob, I reduced the font to make it "clear" that it was a direct quote.
  6. This is from Mikes Workshop page on the Ultra Reverse. Unique new scroll saw blade design. Every 3rd tooth reversed to prevent splintering on underside. Faster, smoother cut. These come with a crimp on the top of the blade to help with proper orientation in your saw. @Tom GI to answer your question, the crimp/bump is the top of the blade.
  7. Last year I started, in earnest, my Intarsia journey. These are a couple that I was particularly proud of. The Pelican was a pattern by JGR and one of the PAM projects. I found out I won that month a few days before Judy passed. The duck was a custom design, by me, for my baby sister's 60th birthday. The bouys and koi just "spoke" to me. The hummingbird was a prize from Steven Shears. He said it was an unpublished pattern and I was the first to cut it.
  8. Don't be fooled on the Pegas Modified Geometry blades. They seem to have a little notch in the blade. It is NOT the top. I have had, in the same package, some with the notch at the top and the bottom. The only sure way is to run your finger on the blade.
  9. Such a softie, Paul. Great job.
  10. The photo doesn't show the green very well.
  11. You are a braver person than I. It looks great. Love the Opal in the piece.
  12. What a great tip. Thanks.
  13. Thanks. I wish the poplar showed more green in the photo than it does in person.
  14. Well done. Love the background.
  15. Depends on what I am making. Currently into Intarsia so there are lots of woods used. For my puzzles I will use poplar. I purchased some poplar a couple of years ago. It was supposed to be dry, but had been cut a few days before I picked it up. I now have two very cupped boards that are unusable.
  16. I looked at it to make the ribbon ornaments. I thought the red/green would be nice. Just couldn't justify the cost.
  17. First complete project for 2025. Calla Lily pattern from Judy Gale Roberts, reduced to about 80%. Woods used: Poplar, White Oak, Maple and Aspen. Finished with Walrus Oil.
  18. Just throwing out an idea here, but something with a hidden magnet to unlock. I saw Alex Snodgrass make a bandsaw box with a magnet lock hidden. https://www.instagram.com/woodcraftsupply/reel/DDcr3LkSNNZ/ Maybe change to hearts.
  19. Have you tried sanding discs on the dremel. Like these https://ohcanadasupply.ca/product/dre413?.
  20. Great work. I think Botas has taken down his site so it is very hard to find his patterns.
  21. Beautiful. But damn-it Frank - stop creating such beautiful pieces that get on my must do list
  22. Another great pattern Frank. Thanks for posting. What wood would you have chosen for the reflection of the boat instead? I also thank you for posting your patterns. I will be downloading that.
  23. Thanks. Here is the link. https://www.stevedgood.com/butterflycut.pdf Sorry I was late to the replies. I usually only log in during my morning coffee.
  24. Congrats on the promotion!!!
