    If only it was $5. Between exchange rates and shipping it is always way more than the original cost of the magazine. At least it was a few years ago when last I checked.

    They had self-service copiers. Not sure if there are scanners. I guess I am just getting obsolete!!! I had hoped that I could get help by walking into the store.

    I recently went to Staples to have an intarsia pattern scanned. I was going to have to leave it there for them to do. They said they had on-line orders to get through first. What ever happened to customer service? In my mind, a person, in store, should come first.

    This is from the latest issue of SSW magazine. Cut from Poplar, Unicorn Spit stain on the top side only. Beeswax/mineral oil finish. Destin for my nephews once the postal strike is over.

    Neat idea. Does the link slide into the decorative part. If so, I would just make a bunch of each and put together each year.

    Got the Sailing Downwind completed. Woods used - Maple, Mahogany, Walnut. Finished with Walrus Oil. Pattern designer is Steve Bunder from Fantastic Woodworking.

    This is a custom order. Never to be done again! Thanks to @don in brooklin on and @Fab4 for some pattern help. Cut from assorted plywoods. Finished with Walrus Oil.

    I join the masses - the stained glass looks great. It has texture to it which changes the light. The acrylic is nice as well.

    I have some, that I purchased years ago. Turns out I accidentally purchased the "pinned" ones. I cut the pin off and was able to use it in my DeWalt. They don't seem to fit in the Excelsior. I did like them for certain applications but didn't use on a regular basis. It was usually to make a tenon fit into the hole!

    Another beautiful piece Frank. As Preprius said, the gap adds to the piece. Think of it as a design choice!! And only you know that it shouldn't be there.

    Thanks. However, I am trying not to order from a US company. Our exchange rate is now more that $1.40 and the shipping fees tend to be outrageous. Also, our postal system is on strike, so no mail, making the shipping even more expensive.
