There is a reason why you couldn’t find it on Sheila Landry’s site I gave out false information. I got the pattern from The Wooden Teddy Bear. It is called “Floral Spice Rack”. Sorry about that!
A girl/woman who rode my school bus from K - 12th is getting married September 5th. She also has 2 years in the army now. The pattern is from Sheila Landry. Made out of birds eye maple. I added the pin and slot joints to make it stronger. Cut using #3 & #5 MG pegas blades.
They received the sign today. They really liked it and was surprised! I get the most enjoyment out of giving things away as a surprise. An by the way thanks for the kind comments!
The parents of my wife’s friend has a cabin on a lake in Cold Spring MN. They let us use it for a week and wouldn’t take anything for it. I seen in the cabin that there was a frog theme lol. I counted 19 different frogs. So what is one more. Made from red oak. Frog is green popular and the tops of the cattails stained colonial oak. Cut with #5 pegas MG. Pattern is by Sheila Landry.
My wife restores stained glass windows. Had one that needed a frame added. I used mortise & tendon joints. Inlayed leaves on sides out of green popular. Main frame is red oak. Arm-R-Seal finish.
Tape probably would not have helped. The stain would go under it. I have taken a xacto knife an cut around what I am staining. The cut makes a grove to stop the stain from running. Don’t take much.
Let a car sit without driving for several years and see how long bearings an seals last. Bridges have the tension figured in at construction and the concrete stables it. Until winter an traffic works on it.
Anytime something has pull on it either mechanical or gravity something has to give at some point. May not break but will weaken to the point that the pull, pressure, is released.
