  1. What John said. MGT blades are a reverse tooth blade that are designed to limit fuzzies, but will not entirely prevent them. A skip tooth blade will only make fuzzies worse. Stick with the MGT blades.
  2. Very well done!
  3. Very nice Ralph!
  4. Congratulations Bruce!
  5. Well, since nobody has named the movie, I will……. The Princess Bride. The quote is “Hello, my name is Indigo Montoya, you killed my father, prepare to die!”.
  6. One of my favorite movies!
  7. Brenda’s recommendation is correct. But in the mean time, can you use the reverse side?
  8. Excellent job Paul!
  9. The issue for me is I use the flat top to sit the boards on when I’m planing multiple boards. For me, I have no reason to fold up the extension tables. Plus, I use a 90° elbow, no problem!
  10. Still working full time, lots of honey do jobs too. Although I check in everyday I rarely have time to reply.
  11. Thanks Melanie, it is a 6th generation running iOS 15.6. Yes I frequently shut it down as I do with my iPhone. I can read most posts. It’s just Scrapiles and John’s history of the scroll saw. I have had others in the past also, but not often. I haven’t changed any settings and have only had this problem for about six months or so. I don’t do any social media other than a few forums, but do not have any problems anyplace else. When this has happened, I assumed the poster wrote the post in an other app then pasted into the forum, thus not opening for me because I don’t have that app.
  12. Funny, when I click on the screen shot to enlarge it, it reverts to the black screen with just the title.
  13. Here’s what I get.
  14. Thanks Dan, I’ll read it on the weekend when I have time. I still would like to know what Scrapile posted.
  15. John Nelson and Scrapile, it’s obvious you have written posts on an other app, then inserted into this forum. I use an iPad exclusively, I don’t have a laptop or desktop. For some reason, when I open these posts, I do get the topic title, but not the text of the posts. I can’t reply or read any replies. It would be nice to read John’s history of the Scrollsaw, but am most interested in what Paul has to say. If anyone can help me figure this out, I would be grateful..
  16. Very nice!
  17. They look great Ray!
  18. I have no idea how paint thinner will look. Paint thinner is milky. I don’t know if it dries clear or milky. Mineral spirits is a refined paint thinner. Most of the odor and the milkiness is removed. Try it on some scrap and see how it works. Chances are if you can’t find mineral spirits, you may not be able to find paint thinner.
  19. Looks good Ray!
  20. Thanks John, I have seen the the add for it and plan on purchasing it.
  21. I always finish all my projects including ornaments. I always use hardwoods for my ornaments. My finish schedule starts with soaking in a 50/50 mixture of mineral spirits and linseed oil. The linseed oil brings out the color and grain of the woods and the mineral spirits thins the oil so it flows easily around the project and allows the oil to dry within 24 hours. Then I topcoat with spray semi gloss lacquer. After the lacquer dries, if there are any dust nibs on the finish, I sand them off with a piece of brown paper bag. It’s like using 2000 grit sandpaper without scratching the finish. It’s a little more work but it’s worth the outcome. I sell hundreds of ornaments a year!
  22. Beautiful work!
  23. Nice work Barb!
  24. Looks good Ray, very nice work!
  25. Congratulations Dave! How are the edges of the cut. Do they need sanding? It seems like it would be good for stand up puzzles as long as the puzzle doesn’t have any inside cuts. Give us a review after you have put some hours on it.
