  1. Another excellent assortment of wonderful ornaments! Thanks to Travis and all the contributors!
  2. So, how did you do Jim?
  3. Ditto what Kevin Said. If it’s new Excalibur, it’s made in China. I bought a Pegas saw and love it! It’s is made in Taiwan not China.
  4. What a beautiful project!
  5. He has a link to his Etsy site on his post, you can contact him there. Or you can leave him a private message here
  6. On the blue banner above click on resources, then click on suppliers. There you will find all the suppliers that cater to scrollers.
  7. It wasn’t you this time Ray
  8. You have found a nice niche Bobby. Your painting skills are excellent!

  15. This was my first show since November of 2019. This is an annual Christmas Boutique at a local church. Been going on for over thirty years. I’ve been doing it for the last six years or so. I’ve always done very well at this boutique, and this year was no exception! They always place me near the entrance to woo the customers. Here are a few pics of my setup. Of course it changes as things sell. I have more stock than I can display, so the display will change as the weekend progress.
  16. Dale, I think you can easily charge $40 or more if you apply a finish. The finish will bring out the colors of the woods and enhance the look of the baskets.
  17. My wife too! I go in the coat closet to look for something and those dam Longaberger baskets start falling out! She’s a quilter too and now cross stitch!
  18. Congratulations Craig, you will love it! I’ve had mine about seven months now, and I love it!
  19. Yes, blades wear. It is important to keep sharp blades in your saw. For me, I change blades when the blade no longer cuts the way I want. It’s not uncommon to use several blades to finish a project. That’s why most of us buy blades by the gross. That is 12 dozen or 144 blades.
  20. I think having a backup saw is important If your primary saw should break down. Sure, your King is shiny and new, but what if it had an issue and you are right in the middle of an important project? I got a Pegas 21” saw at the beginning of the year, and it’s great, but I am still keeping my DeWALT as a backup. Sure I don’t have room for it, but it’s there just in case!
  21. To help with cutting control, stack cut! Layer two board together. This helps with control of the cut, plus you get two ornaments in one. I usually cut three layer of 3/16” for my ornaments. To stack cut, I use a hot glue gun on the edges of the boards to mount them together, but you can use blue painters tape. As far as time, it all depends on the complexity of the pattern.
  22. Nice work Ray, looking good so far!
  23. I’m sure you will do well Barb! I too have a two day show next weekend.
  24. Here’s an idea, get some thin gauge copper or brass wire. Loop a small length. Drill a hole in the birdhouse big enough for the looped wire to fit in. Use epoxy or CA glue to hold it in.
