With Aileen’s Tacky glue I can have my project in oil 15 minutes after gluing. Been doing this for 20 years without failure.

They are cut from 3/16” Cherry.

I’ve never used Hemlock but I have used Alder. For a hardwood, Alder is relatively soft. I wouldn’t use it for puzzles. It has a creamy tan color and is typically straight grained, but you will find some interesting grain patterns in some boards. I have used it for boxes and clocks. It scrolls well, but is hard to get a goof finish on it. I’d say give it a try if you have never used.

Actuality, they do make two drawer printers. When I was researching printers a few months ago, I saw several that loaded two different sizes or styles of paper. Perfect for regular printing paper and mailing labels. But you pay up for it.

Usually that second drawer is for the toner cartridges.

I too use Aileen’s Tacky glue. If the area is wide enough, I apply it with the bottle tip, otherwise, I apply it with a toothpick. I apply it thin enough to not get any squeeze out. If I do get squeeze out, I clean it up with the other end of the toothpick. As far as painting the backer board, I use flat black spray for two reasons. Flat paint cures faster. You want the paint cured before you glue it. Second, I apply my top coat after the backer is installed. That way you are not putting a finish on top of a shiny paint.

Hey Jack, welcome to the Village! I don’t have either saw but have followed comments about both saws on this forum and others. The Delta is basically a clone of the DeWALT of which I own. It uses unsealed bearings which tend to wear out prematurely. It does have a nice sized cast iron table that helps absorb vibration. I’ve owned DeWALT saws for over twenty years and enjoy using them, unfortunately, I’m currently on my third saw, and it’s starting to act up. So, that is what to expect with the Delta. The Pegas saw is an upgraded version of the Excalibur EX 21. The bearings have been upgraded as well as the blade clamps. The advantage of these type of saws is the tilting head. The table stays stationary while the machine tilts when bevel cutting. Both saws have a lifting upper arm to facilitate top feeding of the blade. The only down side of the EX type saw is they have smaller tables, especially in front of the blade. Most folks using these saws don’t mind the smaller table. There is a larger table available. Knowing what I know, I would definitely recommend the Pegas.

Actually, the picture does not do them justice. The cutting and finish is superb! Earlier in the year, I sent Marg a copy of a pattern by mail. She lives in Australia and I’m in So. California. It took three months to get to her! So we decided to send our ornaments early in case of the same delay. Brendas got to the UK in about two week, and Marg got hers in about a month. It’s unfortunate what this pandemic is forcing us to do! Marg and I have been exchanging ornaments for years and we invited Brenda last year. It a fun project that I encourage you to try with other members. Unfortunately, it’s become very expensive to ship overseas, but still very worth it!
