Just wondering if anyone has experience with FD XL blades. I recently cut some of the compound or 3D deer ornaments and used some Pegas MG #5 and #7 blades. I cut some from red oak, white ash, and poplar. I could cut one red oak or white ash ornament per blade. I got a little more use when cutting the poplar.
The description of the design for FD XL blades seems to be similar to the Super Sharps in that they both have alternate teeth set in opposite directions. Both blades are quite expensive but the FD XL's are considerably less than the Super Sharps.
Any input would be appreciated.
