  1. I bought my first scroll saw about five years ago thinking it might be fun for me and my grandsons to play with. My grandsons couldn't have cared less but I got hooked. Happy my granddaughter liked it.
  2. Thanks Paul. One of my happiest days! I was shocked at her focus.
  3. We were so happy that our son and granddaughters made the trip from IL to Texas during spring break to spend the past few days with us. My grand daughter showed me artwork she designed on her laptop. I asked her if she would be interested in going to my shop to make it into a picture in wood. She agreed which totally tickled me. Nothing better than being able to share my passion with someone I love. I think she did an awesome job. I found it interesting that she liked my Hegner much better than my Pegas. She said that she felt like she had much more control.
  4. I have a Cannon Pixma 3200. It has the ink tanks you fill yourself. I printed for two years with the ink that came with it. I just refilled all the ink for about $35. It will probably last another two years. I print a heck of a lot of patterns in red.
  5. Awesome bike Dick! Did you make that pattern from a picture of his bike?
  6. Looks great Jim. Like the added color!
  7. That turned out really cool Dan.
  8. You can't give up. It will go better tomorrow.
  9. I totally agree with all your points. From a Dewalt I went to a Hegner. Talk about a big change when it came to table size. The Hegner is super small but I got used to it. It doesn't bother me enough to put a larger one over top like some have. When I purchased a Pegas I thought the table was huge. For the work I do I would never need one any bigger. For what I do I would not want to give up the positive stop at 180 because I am constantly using the tilt for inlay work. The Pegas also comes fully assembled other than the stand which I really liked. I would also agree that you have to decide what your needs are. A couple hundred dollars difference isn't going to be the deciding factor to me especially when I use it every day and hopefully a long time.
  10. I like to use Weldbond. I had a failure once with Titebond so I changed. It also dries clear if you have squeeze out. WelcomeI
  11. Thanks for checking on me. Lost power for a couple of days. No pipes broke so that was a good thing. Alive well and scrollin.
  12. Looks great!
  13. Great work Dick!
  14. Looks great! I like the use of the light arm.
  15. Nice job Marg!
  16. Great job Charlie!
  17. I've owned Festool and Fein shop vacs. What I do liked about the Fein was that I did not have to use a bag. Festool makes great equipment. Currently I have a Shop Vac. My gosh it is loud.
  18. Totally amazing! What type of paint do you use?
  19. Kevin, I thought you bought a CNC a year or so ago?
  20. Nice feature Travis. Thanks for what you do.
  21. Love that Paul. Beautiful job!
  22. I like it a lot but I have nothing to compare it to. I use it for resawing. Has plenty of power for that. i don't know if it would cut smooth enough for band saw boxes. Maybe I don't have the right blade or the guides adjusted correct.
  23. My shop is 24'x30' including the storage and finish area. I love my drum sander. I resaw a lot of wood and then run it through my drum sander.
  24. I just used the thumb screw that came on the sander to attach the port. Does a lot better than hooking up to the port that is built into the sander.
  25. I have no use for a TV. Never hardly turn one on except to watch a movie now and then. We haven't had cable for years. A fridge would be OK though.
