  1. This is my best seller this time of year.
  2. I wouldn't be without this double sided tape. https://www.woodworkingshop.com/search/?search_query=double sided tape I use it to hold wood on sanding shims when sanding intarsia pieces. I also use it a lot for holding small pieces on larger pieces when I want to cut them on my band saw.
  3. All I can hope for at this time is that my client come back and tells me that is how he wants it, although I have my doubts.
  4. All I can say is crap.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  5. OMG. I cant believe it. I used what my client gave me and didn't catch it. I showed him a picture of the finished project and he told me he had give me the wrong name but everything else looked great.
  6. I will show both of these options to my client. 737b.pdf 737a.pdf
  7. I don't think I will attempt that because it has a 1/4" backer.
  8. Thanks for your thoughts. Thinking I might make a thin piece to match the plane over the name and inlaying the new name in cedar to match the lettering of "American Airlines." I might play with your idea of putting the date in the same line as the name.
  9. I am definitely open to suggestions.
  10. I emailed my client this picture last night. I got a call from him this morning telling me he loved it except for one thing.........the name was spelled wrong. Thank goodness he approved the artwork. Now I have to figure out how to fix it and make it look good.
  11. I used aspen on the plane. I can also get soft maple that is quite white.
  12. It measures 23" x 16 1/2". The lettering was quite tricky because it was so small I cut them freehand without stacking them like I would do a regular inlay.
  13. A tank printer has reservoirs that you fill with bottles of ink. The printers are more expensive to buy but you don't have to buy those expensive ink cartridges.
  14. I was commissioned to make this plaque for a client who works for American Airlines. He plans to give it to a long time colleague who is retiring after the first of the year. I combined fretwork and intarsia. The lettering was so delicate that I decided to fill it with black wood filler. I used blue pine for the background and frame.
  15. It's a tank printer.
  16. I've had this printer about two months and love it. It will print on 13" x 19" paper. That size paper is a bit pricey but I love not having to tape so many patterns together.
  17. Will the clay sand flat after it is baked?
  18. You got that right. My wife has saved me may of flub ups.
  19. Awesome idea Paul. The aspen worked out great. Nice job!
  20. I have found that in my area there are a lot of turners and not as many scrollers at the shows I do. Your work is awesome.
  21. A person had shared this on another site so I thought I would share it here. Woodcraft has it.
  22. Looks great. Could you put some AC in your garage?
  23. Awesome job Ron. It is sure cool.
  24. Thanks for sharing the trailer.............It cracked me up.
