  1. A zero insert is one thing, but that is the new zero kerf model.
  2. Sounds like the clamps are sprung if double blade will work. Have Spike swap the clamps from your old saw if they were working properly. Takes about 1/2 hour total, including pulling table to get to the bottom clamp and reinstalling. Maybe a bit longer.
  3. The quick answer is always to watch for Dewalt 788 to go on sale.
  4. Don: Something has happened to @OCtoolguypost. Those photos were there Saturday morning. Hopefully Ray can repost them.
  5. I "read" the instructions, but my eyes seem to skip the most important step the first time through. Not just sawing, but many other projects as well.
  6. I got the option to go English on my Android. Their German~English translation is very good, based on my limited German from college 45 years ago.
  7. The first link works just fine. Takes you right to the landing page for the magazine.
  8. Those are special!
  9. I was doing some really tiny work and had my fingers close to the blade--sneezed and drew blood on that one. Now, I HAVE nicked my fingernails several times.
  10. The kids will make magic with those and THAT is what matters.
  11. Big old well done on this piece. Looks like the shoulder is healed fully.
  12. Our forefathers brought forth...
  13. Good idea and better execution.
  14. First thing is to check and make sure the blade and table are square. Just because the indicator is at zero doesn't mean everything is right. My DW788 was about 1.5 degrees off out of the box.
  15. Not familiar with the settings in Inkscape, but check at the print dialog box for something like "print actual" or "fit to page". I know that causes a lot of grief on PDF printing. Could be something similar.
  16. The magnet idea is getting stolen....I mean borrowed. Great work for a good cause. Keeping relatives happy is always good.
  17. One of the best scrollsawer/painters I follow uses Rustoleum primers and get mirror finishes with shaker can paints. On Instagram, he is davetaylors3dwoodart and there are mini topics on his home page.
  18. Black lacquer after a 600 grit sanding and priming.
  19. Wonderful idea! Adaptable to families as well.
  20. Great work. Now to use some of the styrofoam filler to simulate the borax load.
  21. And, it is just one dozen blister packs.
  22. I can't open it.
  23. Back problems seem to be an issue among a large portion of us-especially as we age. I hope you find projects that are fulfilling and positions that are comfortable.
  24. They didn't even list their own forum and social sites.
  25. Great idea. We have an Ironman event in town this weekend.
