  1. Retracted double posting
  2. Congrats on the ink! Hope there is carry over to other shows.
  3. I have made many a loop in the waste to get an outside corner sharp and have nibbled the waste on inside corners to enlarge the kerf just enough. It's not cheating--just using the tools I have.
  4. I have made bookmarks from 1/16th, but even ply at 1/32nd might be fragile.
  5. Up to your usual high standards. That will look great when framed.
  6. I would give it 8 likes if I could!🕷🕷🕷🕷🕷🕷🕷🕷 So, you get 8 spiders instead.
  7. Big tip---sand before you cut. Do minor touch ups with Emery board or sanding stick.
  8. I have a pattern for a nameplate taped to my saw to remind me not to procrastinate. (And it helps to remind me of my old friend. ) Back to the original post, my sympathies on your loss. Bennett there and it's a tear in the fabric of life.
  9. Yet another suggestion, try slowing the blade some in the delicate areas. Go maybe 50% slower. There is a lot of stress on the wood being hammered by the motion of the blade.
  10. Les, I tried that method and had three neighbors in the driveway with their shoes off and still couldn't figure it out. But, it looks like @JimErndid the heavy lifting.
  11. You did a great job on this. What is the wood/finish involved?
  12. Is it a plane of glass or a more figural piece?
  13. Great work on a great pattern. By all means, get that piece in a frame.

Great work. Lots of time there.
  15. The man sculpts in wood and now metal. We bow humbly before you!
  16. Now that's a carpool I like.
  17. That oak burl is beautiful.. Glad it found a home with a true craftsman.
  18. The cost of a blade compared to time sanding fuzzies, there is no question. Like Gillette used to say in their ads, "A new blade make a man feel fine".
  19. Have to start early. I do my cutting on the patio and cold or rain shuts me down.
  20. Kevin: Let's just say I bought extra wood for a reason. AND, I needed it.
  21. I would think somewhere in the neighborhood of $30 or $35.
  22. Every year, I try to do something special for my sisters, the in laws and special friends. This year, I dug back in the files for this Steve Good manger scene. It is six layers of cutting, plus a back piece and a two layer lid--so nine layers all together. Inside is butternut which was soaked in natural Danish Oil. (Went a bit darker than I had envisioned. ) Lid and backer wall are walnut. Everything's 1/4" and was stack cut in threes. As always, comments and suggestions are appreciated.
  23. Man, it's tough when work gets in the way of scrolling. Missed half a gorgeous day Saturday while I was at work.
  24. @Wilson142, I put a set on my Dewalt and have not had a minute of problem. That said, I don't use blades that small.
  25. I've cut a lot of crappie in my life. A little cornmeal and hot oil, they make a fine sandwich. [Wrong forum??]
