  1. That's going to be a masterpiece. (If it doesn't drive you crazy first)
  2. Great job on the pattern and a better job on the execution. Give yourself a BIG pat on the back for this one.
  3. Very good cutting on a great piece of wood.
  4. On the old SSW magazine board, we used to have a Monday night chat. Even though it was the middle of the night, we would get some European visitors and the folks in Australia and New Zeland would chime in after their breakfasts. Monday was general chat, but I think the intarsia folks tried one on another night.
  5. Can hear the howl from here.
  6. Love listening to the original Certified Guitar Picker. Most people do not realize how many careers he started when he was at RCA Nashville.
  7. Because the rock listens?
  8. 64 here Friday morning and snow flurries this morning. If the virus doesn't get us, the weather will.
  9. Just bought the regular Dewalt clamps. Just like the factory, but red and solid.
  10. I bought a set for my Dewalt some time back. I had just replaced the thumb screws earlier that season, but based on a few early reviews, I popped for a set and found the differences worth the cost of the upgrade. Maybe the better bite on the blade or the feeling that top feeding seems faster--but I can't think of putting the factory clamps back on the saw. Yes, I did save them in case. Took me maybe five drill holes to realize i made the right choice.
  11. I voted copper simply for the contrast. Makes the blue a touch more vibrant.
  12. I went to the store last night and about the only things left in the meat case were some neck bones and ALL the "plant based meat". I guess the vegans want pork chops if the world is coming to an end.
  13. There goes my plan to announce my candidacy for "Earth Czar" and base my campaign on more scrolling--less stress.
  14. 1. Any cuts on the scrap side of the line are not mistakes. 2. Any cuts off the line are "artistic interpretations". 3. Make sure what is in the spray can is what you intend. Clear lacquer and black gloss come in VERY similar cans. 4. Most important--have fun; don't get hung up on details; don't be afraid to fail--and remember to laugh as you sail those failures into the burn pit.
  15. They are having an open house to show off their new building. Not a true show like Tony was talking about. Got to go once and it great. Got to meet so many folks and see some amazing demos.
  16. Beautiful saw. Will look so much better with a thin haze of sawdust in the table.
  17. If I'm seeing this correctly, the "Queen's Clocks" logo in the upper right looks suspiciously like the English band's logo.
  18. Great looking work. Can't wait to see what the future brings us to see.
  19. Since I do 99% of my work on the patio, I say I have a shop as big the outdoors--even though I only use about 20 square feet. Makes it a seasonal endeavor here in Central Indiana where the temperature was hovering around 1°F here this morning--but we carry on when we can. So, greeting from the frozen prairie and best wishes as you acclimate to a smaller space.
  20. They may have Loctite on them and let's hope it is blue--not red or green.
  21. Well written 200+ years ago and beautifully cut and finished.
  22. Yes, they do have different temps. But, glue guns also are set for different temp sticks. You can't use a high temp stick in a low temp gun--and a low temp stick in a high temp gun is a mess. (Just trust me)
  23. I have the Ryobi glue gun I got when I bought some new batteries for my system of tools. Like others above, i clamp the stack and glue corners and center. Works great for me, but others have their valid methods.
  24. Love your bird house and the detail you put into it.
  25. That is an absolutely fantastic cutting. So much detail and depth of the image.
