  1. Pecan wood smoked bacon is great when you can find it.
  2. Others have said it, but the cutting and coloring are top of the heap.
  3. Not only do Travis and Clayon keep the place straight, it is largely due to the folks here wanting a place to discuss a common interest and for the most part, we push our chairs back under the table and turn out the lights when we leave. It's Travis's house and he invited us come sit around the fireplace and talk.
  4. Birdhouses can be addictive--just ask Denny.
  5. Good job on that. Someone will be happy to get a piece of hand crafted goodness.
  6. Correct. The trick in my mind is lots of glue and lots of clamping. Then trim the stack to size after giving the glue plenty of time to fully cure. I had glue running everywhere when I started clamping. I clamped from the middle outward to make sure I didn't have voids.
  7. Woodstock bound!
  8. Had a bunch of short scraps laying around and used a whole lot of Titebond3 and nearly every screw clamp I own to make a laminated blank for birdhouses. I cut one into the face of the blank and rotated the other one 1/4 turn and cut into the lamination. Used #5 crown tooth blade (one per birdhouse). Got some burning on one of them, but some good old 220 make quick work of that. Just an idea to use up small scraps. Might have been better with some thinner boards, but you play the cards you're dealt.
  9. We need a "WOW" icon. Beautiful work on beautiful wood.
  10. I have long said the art will find the wood. I had a piece in the shed for a couple of years that was always in the back of my mind. A certain motorcycle pattern was posted and immediately I thought of the special plank. Really great work on this. The sapwood and knots fell right into your wheelhouse.
  11. Fifty-four is quite an accomplishment. Congrats all around. (And the cuttings are great)
  12. Becky calls that "the intra-uterine tracking device". Works on stuff I lose, but never works on her glasses, etc.
  13. Great work. I may have to go back to making a few from time to time. Don, the pattern is from Diana Thompson. It is about five years old. Maybe @Denny Knappen will check in with the exact location of the patterns.
  14. Right up there with Titanium. (Just less shiny)
  15. That is going to be a treasured gift.
  16. Very nice looking piece. Shooting it illuminated really makes it pop.
  17. Amazing the records these two set lasted as long as they did. Great pattern.
  18. One solution to events closing--YARD SALE!
  19. A Gamecock cutting a 'Bama item. Let's hope it was commissioned so the football gods don't strike you down!
  20. Check the rating label on the back of the device. Should be one there-even if it is fake UL approval.
  21. Simple little project. Still hoping to get to Arizona late this month to see my daughter. These have 1/4" rare earth magnets countersink on the back so they will stick to the fridge. I have quarters coming for the empties.
  22. Now that you have changed the orientation on your system, make sure the blades are going in right also!
  23. Never done any purple heart thicker than 3/8",but for me, Brazilian Cherry is like cutting steel.
  24. I am in awe of your ability to stay on task (and the products of that concentration).
  25. Great idea, but most saws and these strips don't play well together. Tried them years ago on my original Delta, but the holders at top and bottom too big for most fretwork. Second most useless thing I ever bought for scrolling. (#1 was a big tube of blade lubricant. Probably good for band saws.)
