    Hello

WELCOME, beware, if you ask 10 scrollers which is there favorite saw you will get at least 6 different answers. Any of the saws mentioned will do the job, some better than others but since your just starting until you know what YOU like and want pick by price. Sounds strange but with scroll saws you do get what you pay for in workmanship, service, and parts. Best of luck...
  2. You deserve the exposure the videos are good.
  3. You will also find them on eBay Sometimes free shipping/ no tax you can save a little. Watch your size.
  4. I have made a few projects that while nice have no use just hanging on a wall, most times I add a piece on the bottom ( shaped and fancy of course) then add key hooks, at least now it's usefull
  5. So we know the saws are most likely good, how are they on costumer service, Somebody get one and review it
  6. Standard #3 R. I like Olson been using them for years and will still order next month , I am thinking a bad batch ( I hope)
  7. I wonder if it was just me or are they having a quality control problem. In The last 3 month's I ordered # 3 blades the first doz. I could not make 7 of them cut on the line no matter what did , total loss. Last week I bought another doz. .. snapped 3 with in minutes, tried flexing one, no flex it snapped, 5 out of 12 snapped the other 7 were OK except 2 will not stay on the line . The #4 & # 5 are fine, the 2/0 feel and cut like there dull Just my bad luck or what
  8. Check your tension rod "v" blocks they tend to round out and make noise
  9. I have that on my avatar it just changed one day was not sure if it meant anything other then no picture.
  10. You do the work Travis and we all benefit.......May not be fair but I can live with it But seriously THANKS
  11. Great job, looks ready to fly away.
  12. Sounds like your having fun while doing it. Post some pictures
  13. Just a note to wish you the best of luck, but then as hard as you're working you may not need luck to succeed.
  14. How sweet .. that light at the end of the tunnel That's probably a quote from somewhere, if not I made up. But it gets the sentiment across, good luck.

    Hi there

Big Texas WELCOME, this is the place to learn scrolling and what you can do with a scroll saw, so relax read a bit and ask any questions
  16. As a hobby I try to keep my scrolling to projects I enjoy and very seldom make over, so no , no journal , just me and what I enjoy
  17. Looks good, I use an old baking tray with the back end hammered flat, it slides in and out as I only have bolts holding the back of the saw down
  18. Welcome to our village, wouldn't be long before your offering help to other newbies. Meanwhile ask your questions, there is always an answer here and we enjoy sharing and helping
  19. A foot switch is just that... A Switch. Almost any type will work so long as it's amp rating is high enough. You should have no problem with any good foot switch
  20. I bet we all have projects that somehow get pushed aside, it's good to catch up, li am also looking forward to seeing it
  21. I was not bored b4 watching , but I am sure glad I watched anyway. Never cut a puzzle but your vid did it, I will order a turtle in fact for fun. And a boxer both for family. Can't download as my printer died just b4 the computer so I'll wait for paper patterns. So thats what the hold down looks like, haha. Lost mine a long time ago... Thanks
  22. Looks great, and if your never satisfied you keep improving .
  23. Thanks Rolf, went out spent under 10 bucks and more or less ( a lot less) copied your set up, mine is 3/4 PVC and elbows one " t". It works great ! Better then I expected in fact I retired my box fan
  24. Welcome sounds like you got a great deal. Don't know what experience you have but if your just starting out give yourself a chance to learn b4 you start really fine cutting. For now a # 2/0 and # 5 should handle most work till you learn the saw.
  25. I am just following the thread like many others, and sorry for your problems, it's beginning to look like a costumer service break down which should not happen. One though.. you say it's not a tension problem and I believe you would know, but from my experience with my old Ex I know that sound. I really hope you get some satisfaction and soon because the companys falling down bad on this one and I don't think they can afford it
