  1. Been thinking of improving my dust collection, and I like this setup. My vac my not be as quiet but I can turn down my hearing aids Your pics have helped me make up my mind, thanks, great job!!
  2. There are a lot of different ways of doing this. Don't thing there is a right or wrong way. 3m 77 works, so does just about any spray glue. Glue sticks. Even watered down white glue. All methods have pro's and con's. Some glue the pattern to the wood, some to tape, shelf lining, ect. Some go the extra step of clear packing tape over everything. I believe it holds the pattern better and is said to lubricate the blade. Try different ways see what works for you.
  3. Really nice set up and it's an eye catcher I wonder how many people never even think about each being individual hand cut before they enter
  4. Welcome.. you have a game plan and it sounds like the drive to see it though, I thank maybe you can do it because it sounds like your having fun even with all the work and hours. Good luck
  5. A lot of satisfaction in a job well done I did more or less the same thing years back and it worked. And I think over the years it was better then at first

  9. 2 months ago I got a 19 inch for 125. off Craig. I would say it is very well made, more important to me while there may be no parts around there are machine shops and this saw is repairable . I would put it up against my old RBI 220 vs. the motor can be changed for vs if you want, don't know about 30 inch but my top arm does not move making bottom feeding a little pain, other wise I cleaned it up added wrench less clamps and it's smooth & quiet. Sure your taking a chance but you do that every morning getting out of bed Just my cents
  10. I am definitely going to try, stopped off at the Dollar Store bought a roll of clear 18" x 1.5 yards. Seems to me for our use the cheep stuff may work , worth a try for a Dollar. If I have a proplem then I'll try wall-mart.
  11. Very clear and logical, it's a shame a lot of scroller just don't take the time to troubleshoot a problem because a lot of them are fixable without having to be a Mechanic.

  13. Great cutting job, and thanks for the site. I like that Texas longhorn.
  14. I'm old school been gluing patterns to the wood since I started 20+ years ago. So do I learn the new lookways, are they better. I read a lot about blue painters tape, at 5 bucks a roll is it that much better, if so why, can I use plastic packing tape, lots cheaper, and last do you overlap the tape. Right now.the heat gun lift's the pattern and a little sanding get rid of the glue, but I am ready to lear.
  15. Good review, if and when I will add it to my list to look at. Thanks.
