  1. On my bucket list that probably won't get checked off. Awesome looking domed clock!
  2. It stinks that a job interferes with your other job. If you enjoy both you will find a happy medium and be successful in both. You have more things going on than I ever had. Good luck with you new job!
  3. And now the fun begins. Great job on your first day and good luck on your season.
  4. The wait should be worth it. I am sure you going to have fun with your new toy. I had fun when I got a top of the line 3D printer where I taught school. After playing with it I decided the students should get to use it. Too bad I retired the school got a new Cnc router this year with a lathe attachment. You might be able to take some pressure off your scroll saw. You could come up with something you couldn't do on the scroll saw. Have fun.
  5. Excellent video, now I know more practice is needed to become that proficient.
  6. Nice work, around here on Labor Day weekend you could sell a few of those for a good price. They have the Auburn Cord Duesenberg festival and auction every year.
  7. Looks like it was nice trip. My daughter lives in Fayetteville I don’t get down to see her very often. Last summer we went to Pigeon Forge great views of the Mountains. She did live in Bell Buckle and on a ridge outside of Mulberry. The ice cream shop in Bell Buckle was worth the trip. Glad to see you a lot of fun traveling around the state.
  8. Great looking teddy bear. I thought it was going to be a review of Wooden Teddy Bear retailers as well.
  9. Great job and helping the school out is better than making a large profit.
  10. Way to go and get things done and still have time to clean the shop. My shop won't be clean until my kitchen cabinets are done and installed , hopefully by the first part of May. I have 9 more drawers to make, stain and finish the boxes.
  11. Nice video I will have to give it a try.
  12. I bought a drill from seyco and it does a nice job drilling small entry holes.
  13. Awesome new banner. I like the idea of cutting puzzles at shows, it seems to work for Hans Meier attracting people to his booth.
  14. A friend of mine only gets good Baltic Birch plywood at Johnson's Workbench and it's great. He uses 1/8", and 1/4" with his laser. He has tried other so called birch plywood from the big box stores with poor results. I told him about the Baltic Birch plywood I got at Johnson's Workbench and he only goes there to get it now. The best part of the deal I go with him to get my Birch plywood and we get the quantity discount and he drives his truck. So I save on the plywood and the trip. I am glad I don't live as close as Kevin because I would spend too much money on wood at Johnson's Workbench.
  15. Absolutely fantastic! I always think of trying something like that but it's on the very back burner.
  16. Awesome supply of puzzles. Just think before your season is over you only have to cut 800 more. That's only a couple days work.( lol)
  17. Great news on your first show. I hope everyone that does shows has a successful season.
  18. I love woodworking as a hobby and have been ask several times to start selling my stuff. I live comfortably on my social security and pension so I don't need the headache. Why ruin a good thing I enjoy going to the shop everyday and spending time making something or just messing around. I have no pressure to crank things out except to get the kitchen cabinets done. My wife thinks four years is too long. I tell her 3 1/2 years planning three months making them. I have 3 doors and 9 drawers to go.
  19. Great job on the blast gates. I am switching to metal grates but if I need more gates I might make wood ones. I will have to add a limit switch to the wood ones because of the new setup. I am adding a switched blast gate system to turn on dust collector on when a gate is open.
  20. I had plastic gates they don't work after you use them for awhile. I switched to metal gates that have switches to activate the dust collector. I like the system so far.
  21. Took mine off as soon as I could. It's in a drawer with the original blade chucks and parts from other machines changed out to improve the machines.
  22. Sander poor here. I have the ridgid love it as a backup an old crasftsman spindle sander I purchased over 20yrs ago. The ridgid is the way to go it can take a lot of use and abuse.
  23. Believe or not I loved going to school everyday for 40yrs. It was a great job. I taught industrial arts and engineering and it was something different everyday. To teach something you enjoy as a hobby adds to the pleasure. The biggest challenge to teaching is not the students it's the administration and parents lack of support.
  24. Looks great, I am glad your cutting the 10 not me. They would probably get their order in 2021.
  25. I use to give a primitive Pete award each week for the student that misused the tools or machines. I guess I am glad to be retired now wouldn't be PC to do that now. I would probably be called in and written up with a piece of paper put in my file. Real scary threats(LOL). The file would be too thick for it to fit.
