  1. My wife’s idea, my daughter’s painting skills. I just cut the popsicle and Hello.
  2. Thanks for the idea. She’s usually pretty underwhelmed about what I make but she really likes this one.
  3. That looks fantastic, Rodney!
  4. I borrowed @dgman’s idea from the Spring scroll saw challenge and made this for my wife, Connie, who the grandkids call Nonnie. She fills our yard, porch, patio, etc with beautiful flowers and has 3 bird feeders, a hummingbird feeder, and a bird bath.
  5. Thanks! I found a pallet at Tractor Supply near me with lots of interesting boards. Thought this one fit the macho feeling of this song.
  6. Thank you!
  7. With a platinum man card!!!
  8. Thank you! She was definitely part of the soundtrack of my youth. I like the backer too and it's just a piece of 3/8" pine plywood. I stained it and and then lightly sprayed it with flat black and rubbed it with 0000 steel wool before it dried.
  9. Thank you!
  10. Yes it is. Loved to hear her, Dolly, and Emy Lou together.
  11. Gave me goosebumps when I finished cutting, took the pattern off and realized I could see "the tracks of her tears."
  12. Beautiful! Nice gift.
  13. Thanks Paul. The guitar is a separate pattern, I added the extra hole in it to match Willie’s guitar, Trigger. My favorite album is Red Headed Stranger. The first line of the first song is, “It was the time of the preacher in the year of “01” which is what the writing in the lower left corner is referring to.
  14. Thank you!
  15. Today I proved that Willie Nelson is “palletable.” Can you spot and explain the nod to my favorite Willie album? Actually my favorite album, period.
  16. Thanks, RJ.
  17. I got the idea from a site that makes and sells customized metal signs. I changed their Celtic knot to one with a heart. I imagine for those that sell, this would be a good seller. Takes a while to cut out though. I'm definitely not a fast cutter. About 8", 3/4" Alder with flat black Luan backer.
  18. Nice job!
  19. Holy cow! That is fantastic, Marie! I really like all the sideways veneer. Makes everything pop. Wonderful!
  20. I do, pretty tame one. My wife, Connie wanted one for her 50th birthday. I decided to get one with her. She designed hers, Faith, Hope, and Love. I've had more than my share of fights with the black dog of depression, which inspired mine. I don't regret getting it but the letters are bleeding together which is a bummer. I'm still glad I have it, mostly because it's part of our story.
  21. Lord knows I can’t change.
  22. Thanks! Yes it was one of several doors from the same barn. I love it too.
  23. He has tons of free patterns on his Facebook page. https://www.facebook.com/BotasHelder/photos_by I'll send you this one in a message to save you some scrolling.
