  1. Been a Batman fan since I was a kid. Very cool!
  2. Great job! Hard to wrap your head around how that works. The illusion of different shades is cool.
  3. A friend of mine lost her mom a couple of months ago and night before last her house burned. She's a Christian lady and I thought the words from an old favorite hymn of mine were fitting. Beautiful piece of walnut given to me by a friend.
  4. Very jealous of that bandsaw!
  5. Nice job. Thanks for posting. I'm gonna cut this for my shop wall.
  6. That'd be great!
  7. Thank you. This one is 6 1/2" tall by 8 1/2" wide. I've made them smaller in the past but I think I prefer this size.
  8. Thanks Kevin. Glad you like it.
  9. Thanks. Yeah, lots of turning cutting the leaves.
  10. Took two tries but it turned out ok.
  11. Thanks. Sorry, I don't have the pattern. I just used an image I got from Pinterest a few years ago.
  12. I like cutting this Nativity scene. Something I saw on Pinterest a few years back. Someone gave me a scrap piece of Walnut that was sort of good for nothing and perfect for this.
  13. Great job! Cute little Pumpkin.
  14. No, sorry but I just found a daisy stencil I liked on Google images, cut out the middle and put it over a knot. I drew the stem and leaves. The text, I did on Inkscape.
  15. Well I can see what your getting at. It's not a gift for a child though. When I showed the cutting to my grandchildren this morning I told them, "Sometimes you, (my grandson) can be cranky and sometimes you, (my granddaughter) can be sassy, but I love you just the same." I also said, "Sometimes I need to be more patient." They both smiled very big. I think most all children are aware they have shortcomings or are different than others in some way. I think it helps their self esteem to be reassured that that's OK. Of course I don't put that much stock in my own opinion on child psychology, but I've read a lot about Fred Rogers. Him I trust.
  16. Nice job Kris!
  17. Thanks Kevin.
  18. I thought a picture of an imperfect flower on a rough cut pallet board with cracks and nail holes would help convey this awesome quote from Fred Rogers. Make sure your kids and grandkids know you do.
  19. Cool idea. Nice job!
  20. If you haven't checked out my post lately, The Return of Skelly-Bob, in the Coffee House forum, go take a look. I set up a skeleton scene in my 6 year old grandson's yard each day when he is at school. I update with a new picture each day I change the scene. I should have 5 new scenes next week.
  21. I seriously doubt Charles Schultz would be happy with that. I'm sure the almighty dollar is behind it. I'm reading a book about Fred Rogers and while I knew he was a good man, it's amazing how he refused to have his program used to make money off of children in any way. I had never noticed there were no Daniel Tiger or King Friday dolls for sale when I was a kid. Hard to find a successful person with that character nowadays.
  22. Beautiful wood, clean cutting and great pattern! Nice job.
  23. For those who aren't familiar with the title of this post, "No brag, just fact" is a quote from an old Western television show I watched when I was a kid, "The Guns Of Will Sonnet." Certainly not bragging about this post, just knew you guys could relate with my frustration. I was cutting this for a friend to give to some friends of his who bought their dream beach home at Dauhpin Island. After about 2-3 hours of tedious cutting I took the top pattern off to find what I thought was a small crack on the back side went almost all the way through and some pieces feel out. I cracked it the rest of the way to vent my frustration. Strike one!
  24. Beautiful project Danny.
  25. Good looking project!
