  1. Yes he did!
  2. I had wondered about that. It would be hard to find someone my age in the US that didn't know him. He's best known as "Mr. Rogers". He did a children's television program.
  3. Fred Rogers was a great man. No man stands taller than when he stoops to help a child.
  4. Great job Tammi!
  5. Heirloom quality work!
  6. That's amazing Dave. Beautiful work!
  7. I saw this pattern by @Fish when I first joined SSV and have been wanting to cut it. I like smaller portraits so I just did from the elbows up because things were too small with his whole body in a small piece of wood. It's cut in 5/8" quarter sawn red oak, and is 7 3/4" X 7 3/4". I saw that you did another pattern with his left ear Dan but I preferred this one since it looks so much like the original picture. I used black canvas material for the backer. Thanks for a great pattern Dan.
  8. Great work! I love the view through the door! My dad was a minister. Reminds me a bit of one of his first churches. We'd have to get there early on cold mornings to light the radiant heaters then stand by them till your pants burned your legs.
  9. Nice job Marg. Really hope you get to see your daughter soon!
  10. Great work. Any you're so right. Social distancing is so much easier with a hobby.
  11. That is one beautiful box. Fantastic job!
  12. Great job. The dog's basket is so real looking.
  13. Hey Dick. That's the same piece of wood. Just different lighting and I took a picture from the back while I was cutting it because his eyes are so distinctive.
  14. Sorry to hear that. Back pain is the worst. Hope you're doing better, and thanks for the patterns!
  15. Beautiful job!
  16. Thank you. As a teenager, in the 70's I was a big Willie fan. He and Merle have some great duets. If you haven't heard it, listen to Unfair Weather Friend.
  17. I made a few changes to my Merle Haggard pattern. My wife's cousin saw my original and asked me to cut one for her. I decided I can't give this one up so she gets the original. And the walnut blends better on my shop wall with Willie and Johnny. Backer is some two toned sawmill poplar with walnut stain.
  18. Really great work Marg! My favorite is the batter.
  19. Beautiful work and wood. I hadn't seen a tray done that way. Very cool idea.
  20. Sweet little car. Love the wood and the blue axles!
  21. Nice job Ant-Man!
  22. Great job! I love Canary wood.
  23. Great job! Anybody would love to hang those on their tree. Rather than, "Well, he made it and gave it to us so we have to use it. Hang it on the back." I like them all but I'm partial to the reindeer.
  24. Very nice work!
  25. This one looked very much like John Prine after cutting just the eyes.
