  1. I saw something similar to this on Etsy only the horses and edges were a metal cut-out laid over wood. I thought it looked like a cool scroll saw project. The back is 1/2" birch plywood stained Ebony so it has kind of a black marble look. The front is pine, distressed with a torch and stained English Chestnut. It is 19 1/2" X 39 1/2". Hoping to sell it to raise a little for someone affected by Covid-19.
  2. Well, if you're a Mayfly you'd only have to wind it 4 times in your life, so...
  3. Very nice ! I'd have to add, "Take Meds". I'm assuming all the clock work doesn't got with the sign.
  4. Beautiful boxes! Love the corners on the light ones.
  5. Awesome that she's got a good husband. My wife has helped me out of some dark places. Important to have support.
  6. Thank you so much. Yes, some times little things mean a lot. To tell the truth I don't know if it's copyrighted. I wouldn't cut something to sell that I didn't own but I'm a bit of a rogue if I'm cutting something for my shop wall or a case like this. I found the picture on google. I can send you a copy if you'd like to see it.
  7. Bless her heart. One of the lousy things about depression is how it makes you "not feel like" doing the things that might make you feel better. Knowing you are absolutely NOT alone helps. Tell her an old man in Alabama said "Hang in there, and she's got a lot of company. Some of us really cool people!"
  8. I really like that! The colors are perfect. I've got chickens too but they're in the freezer.
  9. Beautiful, happy, and makes my head hurt trying to understand how you did it!
  10. Thanks for the kind words Dick. And yes, it definitely lifted my mood.
  11. My shop is my therapist. Not sure if it's cheaper than a real one but it's in my backyard, so. I was a little down and I needed to cut something simple and happy today. I posted this on FB and said if a mom or grandmom wanted it to let me know. A young mom I never talk to but thought about while cutting it said she'd like it. Things like that are what I call God's breadcrumbs. Little reminders that He's there, and maybe we're on the right path.
  12. Cool project and cool girl!
  13. Thank you for the kind words Irene! Means a lot. I also have too many dogs. One 2 year old lab.
  14. Great job on both of those. They are both amazing but something about the jaguar just grabs me. Staring at it I feel like his nose is about to move to scent what he's looking at. Great, lifelike pieces.
  15. Well there's 4 of them, so if you cut them in half you'll only have two. I wouldn't do it. Nice job.
  16. First let me say you did a wonderful job on that! For some reason those make me feel a little icky, like shirts that are printed so they'll look out of focus. Kind of makes me feel nauseous but at the same time I can't stop looking.
  17. Thank you. I got the pattern here. scrollsawart4u.weebly.com
  18. My son and his wife met at a local tropical fish store where they both worked. I cut this Charles Hand trivet for their anniversary. It's two months away but I'm lousy at waiting so I'll probably give it to them early. I filled it a little over half way with black tinted epoxy resin. Still need to put a couple more coats of butcher block oil on the front. The back turned out looking pretty good too.
  19. My kind of toys! Those look so good and I know kids will use their imagination playing with them!
  20. Really good job on that!
  21. Nice job!
  22. Very nice job. I really like the background you used.
  23. Thanks Kris. Means a lot coming from you.
  24. Great job! The olive wood is beautiful.
