    Thank you! The horses are cut out of the wood with a black backer board. I put the boards together to draw the pattern on them and then cut the boards separately.

    Nice job. The backer looks great. Not to "demean" the front which is also great. I just love it when the backer compliments a cutting like that.

    Not being a "car guy" I never gaze at car pictures for long. Can's stop looking at the Mustang. Of course they're all above my paygrade! If you've only been scrolling 2 years you've apparently got that thing a good athlete has that can't be taught. I'm with Kirk, "is there a pattern for the Mustang?" And what size did you cut it? Thanks for sharing! (jealous over here )

    Love this one. I love taking kids fishing, then remembering they'd rather throw rocks in the water and catch frogs or grasshoppers. Still fun.

    Thank you. Over a fireplace is where I picture it. Not much of a market for this kind of thing I suppose but it sure was fun to make.

    Sorry, I don't have a pattern. English Chestnut by Minwax is my favorite stain color.

    Thanks so much Frank! I intended to put a frame around it and decided it looked better without one. Kind of a cross between rustic and modern. I routed keyhole mounts on the back so it will hang flush on the wall. Thanks again.

    Thank you Ron! Of course I cut it a board at a time and then put it all together. Made for a very enjoyable cut. I hate cutting large patterns.

    I saw something similar to this on Etsy only the horses and edges were a metal cut-out laid over wood. I thought it looked like a cool scroll saw project. The back is 1/2" birch plywood stained Ebony so it has kind of a black marble look. The front is pine, distressed with a torch and stained English Chestnut. It is 19 1/2" X 39 1/2". Hoping to sell it to raise a little for someone affected by Covid-19.
