  1. I think you are right, the customer is always right, in this matter anyhow Looks good.
  2. A truly neat idea. We tend to do the same. Gave gift cards a few times but limits where they can spend it, so cash it is now.
  3. I'll send you some heat, 40c today and only the 1st day of summer
  4. Have been flat out like a lizard drinking. It's the MAD season, especially at school with concerts, and end of year activities. Have also had two cancer's hacked out over the past two weeks. One in my arm 12 stitches and on in my thigh, yesterday, 15 stitches. Wear long sleeves, long strides and a broad brimmed hat, when outside at all times.
  5. I think that's what they call these? Had request from the grade 6 teacher so here it is. A few blues, but she gave me bugger all time. I have made year tablets until 2030, they slide in and out, probably getting my ambitions mixed up a little, as I doubt it will last that long considering the school environment. I'm sure the kids will have fun.
  6. A well deserved beer when the last one hit the pile Charlie. ONYA mate.
  7. Nice idea Barb, It's bit hot here for jumpers at Christmas, so T Shirts take their place
  8. I have one of those. A life saver at times.
  9. Thanks Marg, I had a vision in my head when doing the red and blue one, but am never sure if my ideas will look the same as I imagine them. Everybody who has seen the coloured one loves it, I';m still not quite sure if I like it more than the standard black background.
  10. Belongs in an art gallery Dave. That is a definite heirloom in the making
  11. According to Jeff Foxworthy, we scratch it away
  12. A new cutting of an Elf delivering a Christmas Tree. Pattern by Dean (Facebook Group). I did thicken up the rear-view mirror stems, but lost his pompom on two of the three I stacked. While softening the edges with a Mac Mop. cur from 4mm Hoop Pine ply, backed with 3mm mdf. Two black with glitter and one Chrome? (It's what it says on the can)
  13. Brilliant Charlie. Loved the movies.
  14. Absolutely fantastic pieces Frank. The frames are well done as well .
  15. Cut from 4mm Hoop Pine Ply, Framed in Radiata Pine Stained various colours. Three coats of gloss acrylic. The coloured truck is backed with felt. A3 Size "Dad's Garage" pattern by Helda Botas If I do another "Garage" cutting I will use my own fonts "Keep Australia Moving" Pattern by San Custodio
  16. Looks nice Ralph

Down the Rabbit {Gnome} hole you go
  18. Well done. I admire the patience and skill it took to make.
  19. I'm in the "BOTH" camp as well. The majority of my cuts are done with a straight blade. For some text, especially if it is near the bottom or top of a cutting, and cursive, I will use a spiral. I also use spirals for widening features (Veining). I don't like them on solid timber, as Jarrah is to hard and it takes forever and Pine leaves heaps of "Fuzzies"
  20. I believe "Distressed" is the correct term: Like in the 70's taking a chain and blow torch to a perfectly good piece of furniture, it increased it's value, buggered if I could ever figure out how
  21. A bucket of water. Good Job Barb, at the risk of repeating what moist people have said, They are cute. White is a problem when using a brush, easy when sprayed.
  22. I use an Olson PG #5. I can't tell you how much slack is to much?. I cut my puzzles for kids and so I like them to be a little loose so they don't get frustrated. One coat of paint on joining pieces and then I cut back the bloom so that it is smooth.
  23. Here's what I use. A 1/4" Jacobs chuck. it holds the finest bit. You can find them on most old 1/4" electric drills. Just thread the correct size bolt into the chuck, cu the head off and place in the chuck of the drill press.
  24. Protection (looks) and it makes them wipeable after grubby little hands have played with them
  25. Just bight the bullet and go for it, If you're still a bit windy after you've made it, I'm sure there's somebody you could give it to.
