  4. Sorry it didn't work out Whichita. But this is how we advance and I applaud you for this. If at first you don't succeed, try, try again. Jerry
  5. WOW Richard, you are not only amazing with your scroll sawing skills but also designing patterns. Way to go. Jerry
  6. Very nice Marie. For me the most satisfying part of using the scroll saw is you can go from a piece of wood to a finished product in a relatively short amount of time as compared to other wood projects. Jerry
  7. Michael, what a beautiful keepsake you created for your friend. Especially taking the time to create his saying one letter at a time. Must be a very special friend. Beautiful, simply beautiful. Jerry
  8. Very nice Tim, very nice. Jerry
  9. WOW!!! quite the project. 10 layers, magnificent!. Jerry
  10. Although not all are not scroll saw projects one is one of my satisfying projects I have ever done. That is the refinishing of an old clock my parents had. In the 50's pink was a favorite color of many people, mostly my mom. She painted it pink. This old clock was in a house we moved in the early 40's. Mom asked the owner about the clock that was left. He said we could keep it. I remember watching my dad wind it about once a week. The ticking and the chimes (bangs) on the hour and half hour are sound memories I recall fondly. When my mother passed away in 1997 my brother wanted it. Well, he boxed it up and never did anything with it. When he recently divorced, I asked him if he still had it, would he be willing to let me finish it. This year that was my project, one of the most satisfying projects I have ever done. Took me most of the summer. The clock is about 125 - 130 years old, and yes, it still works. Still love the sound. Also, are attached two Christmas scrolling projects I did that gave me great pleasure.

  20. Another Christmas gift for my son. This is a Steve Good pattern. Cut on 1/4-inch poplar with a 1/2-inch base. Painted using acrylic paints rather than staining. Jerry
  21. You did a great job Dan. Nothing wrong with your painting. I want to make some too, being only a week from Christmas I don't think I will get it done. Might be a late Christmas gift this year or a really early one for next year. Thanks for sharing. Jerry
