  1. Charlie, as always you do such an amazing job...you are such an artist! I also loved that sad song...one of my favorites.

Wow, really nice work with the lettering. Really wonderful message and much better than a charcuterie board!
  3. Yes, I bet sometimes you feel like you are moving 1 step forward and 2 steps back, but it sounds like you are making progress even though it is slow...so that is wonderful! It is a long road but hang in there. The brain/neurons takes longer to heal than most other tissues...but they are healing. Keep giving them good feedback (as much normal movement as possible) and they will heal in the correct way. I am praying for you!
  4. Really nice. Those letters looked like quite the Challenge. How thick was your wood and what type of blade did you use to cut the small letters with?
  5. Awww, thanks Paul, That is kind of you....but I highly doubt it.... I am working on one for my other Daughter who was married a year ago this coming June. Since she was married in Seattle, I hope to have a Seattle theme.
  6. Yes, Don, How is your recovery coming? I know changes are usually slow but I am sure you are moving in the right direction.
  7. Welcome Thomas from Eastern WA. You have lucky students who get to work with such great saws. Yes, let them know about this forum. Pretty much everything I have learned was from all the knowledgeable folks on here! Plus there are wonderful patterns they can access from here as well.
  8. Wonderful! I love them all!
  9. Happy early birthday Frank!
  10. Ray, are you saying you are 80? Your picture looks like your not a day over 50!
  11. RJ, I free hand it. I will draw something on the wood and then cut it out and often times I just start cutting. I finished this a couple weeks ago. I scroll sawed the silhouette of my daughter and her husband in epoxy after I painted it. Then I scroll sawed the frame and also did some carving. I am working on my other daughters right now.
  12. I am with you! I have made so many goofs but like Ray says, time in the seat really makes the difference. I don't use patterns so no worries for me for going outside the lines....but even without that, I still make screw ups. I really like your first picture. Love the Cactus!
  13. Well done...so sweet. I am thinking of making something like that for my Grand Nephew. That is so darn cute!
  14. Very nice...nice selection of colors!
  15. Dave, well if you make it, be sure and Post it in the Bragging section so we can see it. I am sure you will do a fantastic job!
  16. Hello Gerit, This is a great forum. I am relatively new here as well. Welcome from Washington State! Hallo Gerit, Dit is een geweldig forum. Ik ben hier ook relatief nieuw. Welkom uit de staat Washington!
  17. Very cool! The College I just retired from has Bigfoot as their Mascot. They would love that!
  18. Wow! That is so amazing! I am at a loss for words...and that doesn't happen very often . I do love your cowboy wall but your Jonny Cash is pretty hard to beat! I am sorry to hear about Sam and Froto....That is heart breaking. Are you going to do another? Love your Grandkids art, too...I suppose you look just like their drawings! MC
  19. Would love to see your Wall again... If it isn't too much trouble.
  20. Wow! You really captured him ...and you did it so fast! Excellent work. I didn't know all that about him and that he was blind in one eye. You are amazing to be able to take any photo and make a pattern out of it...incredible! Will he go on your "Wall of Cowboys"? ....Hmmm, that got me thinking... are their any Cowgirls on your wall...The only one I can think of was Jane Russell...
  21. Wonderful work! I can't believe the intricate details with eyes that aren't 100%. Sounds like you found a good doc...good to know the business.
  22. Wow! Another Eastern WA scroller....Paul @Scrappile is also from Eastern WA and is even closer to you than I am. He is an amazing scoller (check out his Gallery) and is a huge source of information. I am planning to head down towards the Tricities (Benton City) to visit a friend in June. I am hoping to visit with Paul (he doesn't know this yet) when I am down there...maybe we could all have lunch or coffee together. I myself am a retired college instructor in Physical therapy as well as a Physical Therapist. I still have my license but currently not seeing patients....I do some woodworking (cabinet building, etc but really would much rather be scroll sawing), I also do upohlstery but have been trying to avoid doing that right now. My husband is an orchardist but is cutting back some (at least he says he is ) I am so glad you joined...this is a great place to be. mc
  23. Wonderful work! I especially love the one going to your Mom....very touching and I am sure she will love it...very, very nice. As for your Physical therapy, do your exercises but do pace yourself (coming from a PT )
  24. This is my one and only. I googled and found a post by Paul @Scrappile and Ray @OCtoolguy (probably pretty old post) when I was looking for a scrollsaw. And that is how landed here. Paul has encouraged me from the get go and since then I have been very welcomed here by all. I do not do any other social media so this is my home. Travis, thanks for developing this!
