Scrolling Steve Posted August 31, 2016 Report Posted August 31, 2016 That is some fantastic cutting !....Excellent work ! Quote
Lucky2 Posted August 31, 2016 Report Posted August 31, 2016 Richard, it's beautiful, I can well see where there would be forty hours worth of scrolling in it. I'm very interested in seeing it once it is framed and finished, and I'm happy for you that you stack cut it. I would hate to think that you have all those hours in it, to only have one copy. dgman Posted August 31, 2016 Report Posted August 31, 2016 Great work Richard! It reminds me of our member Merlin! Quote
GPscroller Posted August 31, 2016 Report Posted August 31, 2016 I have loved that pattern from the first time I saw it. Love the results you have produced! Job very well done   Jeff Quote
wombatie Posted August 31, 2016 Report Posted August 31, 2016 At least you persevered and finished it, that is the main thing, not how long it took. You did a tremendous job, well done. Marg Quote
newfie Posted August 31, 2016 Report Posted August 31, 2016 Now that came out great thanks for sharing Quote
lonewolf Posted August 31, 2016 Report Posted August 31, 2016 I don't see how you all do these kind of scrolling. I don't particularly like that kind, portraits, and scenes. But if i started on one i'd probably be bitten and do more. I look at what kind of cuts you have to make and all and it does astonish me the time and effort it takes. I'd probably ruin mine. But that is a great portrait there, you did a good job. Quote
frankorona Posted August 31, 2016 Report Posted August 31, 2016 Wow!! Awesome work, looks very well done!! Quote

ubgoofy2003 Posted August 31, 2016 Report Posted August 31, 2016 WOW, you did a real nice job with this one. You know your stuff, when it comes to scrolling ! I like it. I also agree about the hair thing. It's difficult just laying it out for a pattern. I was doing an all black Shi-hytsu dog pattern & I just can't get it to look like it's black. Thanks for sharing your portrait. You can be proud of it. Quote
fastfreddy Posted August 31, 2016 Report Posted August 31, 2016 wow and wow. You must be a very patient man. That's what I need to learn (patients) if I'm going to be doing fret work myself, excellent work. Appreciate all you guys adding info should as material and blades used for us greenhorns/newbies. penquin Posted August 31, 2016 Report Posted August 31, 2016 That looks great, with a pattern like that it has got to be fun to do it and watch it all come together. Can understand why hair is not something you need to see anymore. jim penquin Quote
