Lawn Darts

20 years ago, Lawn Darts were banned.  Deemed as being "Too Dangerous".

Now, almost anybody can buy an AR-15.

lawn darts are not considered arms where as an AR-15 is.

 

And so far I've not seen anybody throw an AR-15 up in the air and watch it come down on them.

when we did have lawn darts

we also had these plastic ball catchers.

The lawn darts finally came apart.

 

About 25 yrs ago the bar room dart board game also banned steel darts.  Now we have to use plastic tipped darts and plastic board with holes in it.

More people die everyday from motor vehicle accidents (about 3,700) than ever died from lawn darts (only 3 according to the CPSC, and they were all children). BTW, 3 is the only number I could find, the rest died from a virus, I guess.

I know Lawn Darts were somewhat Dangerous and I also will

say I LOVED THE GAME.  Along with Horse Shoes.  Can't take

away all the Wonderful Memories I have of Playing both and

oh yea Washers was and still is a Good Game.    2cents.   :+}

We did something similar. Only we used quarters and tossed them at a wall. For keeps.

 I'm not PC correct , sorry a lot of these things were band due to a lack of common sense, you only have to look a warning labels 

For example car batteries used to have a warning concerning polarity now they warn you about drinking the contents...go figure
