heppnerguy Posted August 20 Posted August 20 I just got a phone call from Scrappile's (Paul Douglass) wife informing me that Paul suffered another stroke and was in the hospital. This was his third stroke and his left hand is still closed but his can once again move his am and can walk while assisted in the hospital. I sure hope he recovers completely and I am asking for prayers for him. He is a wonderful stroller and as you all probably know, he has recently started to do some intarsia. I personally met Paul for lunch probably about 14 years ago and we have become really good friends. I just wanted everyone in The Village to know why it will probably be some time before we are privileged to see his wood working, if at all again. munzieb Posted August 22 Posted August 22 I was dumbstruck when I read about Paul this morning. We talk on the phone maybe once a month and always have great conversations about scrolling and other things. I'm hoping he gets better soon. He is a great great guy and miss our hour long talks. munzieb Posted August 23 Posted August 23 I had called Paul and left a voice mail. I received a text msg back from Paul's son. He is in a rehab facility and is getting better every day. He does say it will be a long way to go to gain his independence. His mind is still sharp and clear but he is a little self concious about his speach but it is getting better. He said he will contact me when he is better. Encouraging news. TAIrving, barb.j.enders and OCtoolguy 1 2 Quote
