HI I Lost my paint shop pro 9 program when I went to windows 10, it allowed me to scan and resize a pattern. Any free ones out there that are easy to work with or suggestions otherwise. I don't like paint.net Thanks Bill -
HI all I have been using green painters tape for years and I agree with a post up above, that when it comes time to take it off, you end up with lots of little pieces. I just started using the clear stuff from Walmart and it is great. My wife suggested I take the roll and cut off about a few feet that roll it up in the opposite direction and put a rubber band around it and when its time to use it, it will lay flatter for you. I just take my little piece of plywood and lay it on the backside and cut around the board with a exacto knife and then peel it off and stick it to it. Works ver well I feel Bill in Wisconsin

HI, I have a brother black and white laser printer with scanner and I love it for scroll saw patterns. When you buy new toner get the regular Brother brand and the larger soze cartridge, I recently got a cheaper one off ebay and it was not the best. Didn't last long. Also about once a week pull your cartridge out of the holder and genly shake it up and down a couple times to stir up the toner so you get even color. Bill

HI, I took this pattern that he had on his website this past week and instaed of a backer I just made a hanging ornament out of 1/8 inch BB ply. It turned out nice. Bill

HI everyone, I may have asked this a long time ago, but now I am starting to scroll again to make things for the Holidays. Question I have is how do you tell the lower blade holder sizes? I have some and they are not marked. I use the Pegas 2.0 blades mostly because I work with 1/8 BB plywood. What holder number would work best with that blade? Thanks for the help Bill

HI When I do my stuff and I use just 1/8 BB I use the the Pegas puzzle blades only. I would not use a reverse tooth blade with that thin wood. I have been scrolling for years and get very little break out on back side. Good luck Nrscroller in Wisconsin

Hi Get rid of the super 77 glue, blotches bad when getting empty. A good friend at church works for 3m in St. Paul and she said the 45 is the better glue for crafts. I got some and it is much better. Bill

Hi I scroll with thin stock all the time, 1/8 inch baltic birch ply. I currently use the Pegas 2/0 28 tpi and it is great. It is a skip tooth blade so it doesn't clog up. Try it and you will be surprised how nice it cuts. Bill

Hi, When I get a pattern, I make a copy and save as original and file it, then just pull that and print a copy. I file them under different artists or general or various topisc, I am 74 and has worked for years for me Bill

Hi everyone., I made this for my Pastor for Christmas. I won't make another one, it is too hard. But it was interesting. If anyone makes it I would go with Steve's suggestion of enlarging to 200% and using 1/4 and 1/2 plywood. 1/8 is kinda flimsy, but once it was glued up it held together ok. Try this one gusy: I have it all beat, I use a air brush compressor hooked up to my line, avoids the bellows and keeps dust off my work much better. I have it hooked up to my foot switch so it goes on and off with that. Also have a 20 inch box fan with backside toward my saw with a furnace filter taped to it to suck dust away. Been using this for years. It has more power than an aquarium pump also. Bill

Congrats I hope you like your new saw. I have a 1995 Hegner I bought at only a year old. I have replaced a couple parts but it runs like a top all the time. I use the Pegas blades and I don't have any problem with blade breakage. Oil your arm bearings on both sides with light oil now and then. Good luck Bill
