  1. Fantastic job although I think I would run from an order like that.
  2. All you have to do is wax the runners and you are good to go.
  3. Travis, I don't think you need worry as this is far and away the best scrolling site on line. I have belonged to a lot of different sites over the years, some of whom didn't survive. I like it that this is a site where you can post humorous comments without being attacked.
  4. Rob Roy has the easiest idea. Just add a gasket of whatever material that is the correct thickness to raise the piece flush with the table. I probably used used duct tape as that seems to work for anything.
  5. I have belonged to that forum since 94 and as of now will not be posting anything there. About all of the activity on the site is problems that people are having and all the steps needed to correct. Very little scrolling content.
  6. I have it and took advice and didn't do the express install as that feeds a lot of into to Microsoft. Going the other way allows you to say what you want. I use gmail and it didn't show up on the main page but finally stumbled onto a place to download the app (I think) to get it back so is now working fine.
  7. Great ideas and execution. I wouldn't dare make one here as if someone saw it would keep me too busy. We have 10 lakes within driving distance and a number of rivers so fishing is everywhere.
  8. Beautiful work. I would comment on Kevin's CNC comment but I don't use that type of language on public forums.
  9. Hey Marg, I will try to get some photos but my camera is probably dead as usual. I liked these because they had the screw like the original knobs.
  10. I have never found a need for a lifter. I even bought one of the mechanical ones that is collecting dust. Inserting the blade in the bottom clamp is done by feel and soon becomes easy.
  11. Finally got the new knobs from Seyco and they work great. Can't remember who mentioned them in a post but looked and liked the looks better than the ones that Mike had. My arthritic fingers were giving me trouble with the old knobs on my DeWalt.
  12. Great job. I am sure they will be very pleased.
  13. Good news about the surgery and I know that we never heal as fast as we think we should but be patient and all will be well.
  14. It is easier to cut pieces like this if you stack at least 2 as it makes it more stable and you also get an extra for the same price. You can also tape an old business card over the hole in the table to help support the piece as you cut. You did an excellent job.

Well done. I also have that on my to do list.
  16. You are definitely a glutton for punishment but do excellent work. I would think you would have nightmares after cutting that.
  17. Nice box. I run now when someone mentions boxes as I used to get them ordered by the 100 and she wanted the hinges mortised in.
  18. Very well done. You have definitely started something.
  19. For 1/4", I always stack 2 and use a #1 or #3 FD UR. I am currently doing some in 1/8" BB and am stacking 5 and using a #1.

I would think the painted version would be a hit with kids. Great job.
  21. I held off for a long time as I can't sit with my feet on the floor but finally broke down and bought the HF switch with a 20% off coupon and mounted it on the side of saw stand. Now it is a knee switch and works great.

Nice work. My uncle was there. I am not a fan of coloring but like a clear finish with a dark background.
  23. Very well done and a nice presentation. If you ever stop learning, you probably died.
  24. Very well done with nice crisp corners. I have found that planing to 5/8" makes it a lot easier to cut.
  25. Very nice. I've wanted to do some of that but it keeps getting buried in the to do list.
