  1. Beautiful work. I am sure your brother will be thrilled.
  2. Any of your local lumber yards or even HD or Lowes should be able to special order Baltic Birch for you. It will come 5x5. I have ordered through the contractor's desk at HD and also a local Meeks.
  3. Very nicely done. I have done one leopard and swore to never do another. Too many spots for me.
  4. Looks like you will have a great workshop. I considered something like that when I moved to town but local ordinances wouldn't allow it.
  5. Glad to see that your scrolling skills didn't get rusty. Really nice job.
  6. ps DW don't sweat the cataract surgery as it is not too difficult and you won't believe the difference. I couldn't believe how bright that colors became after the surgery.
  7. I don't particularly like the magnifier as have trouble getting the focus right. Have been using a pair of strong reading glasses from the pharmacy that work pretty good. Have seen some glasses advertised that have an adjustable strength that I may have to try.
  8. Very nice work. I'm not enthused about finishing so mine usually just gets a dash of spray laquer.
  9. Nice job. I really like the simplicity.
  10. I'm with DW. On larger orders or repeating orders, templates are the way to go. It is easier than printing a lot of patterns and also easier to place the piece on the wood with the least waste (not that I'm cheap or anything).
  11. I had some several years ago. Called Mike and he sent some replacements that worked fine.
  12. Beautiful job. Makes me want to dig out that issue and try it.
  13. Great job. I especially like the graduation plaques.
  14. Very imaginative idea and well executed.
  15. Beautiful work Edward.

    Very well done.
  17. If I had someone giving that kind of wood, I wouldn't think of charging for a few projects.
  18. Boy does that bring back memories. I bought a '59 ragtop like that while I was in the service then drove it all the way through college. Nice work.
  19. This is a scrolling jigsaw that was a forerunner of our current scroll saws. I had an old Delta that was similar and it worked fine, although the spring that pulls the blade was hard on blades. It wasn't really designed for the really fine blades like we use today. Using anything smaller than a #7 would be difficult. I did a lot of cutting on it before getting my first scroll saw.
  20. I finally got this camera figured out. Otis is showing his excitement. Saved is a pattern by Sully and done for a friend who is fighting cancer. I was tired yesterday and am retired today so thought this fit. Modified a Steve Good pattern so the dog looked like Otis. Also did one with an Australian Shepherd for my Vet as he sometimes discounts my bill when I give him something. Modified Bob's pattern to add the mule as that goes along with the state of Missouri. Did 2 of these for gifts for good friends of mine. Made a mistake though as stacked 2 1/2" pieces of oak and that was slow cutting.
  21. Nice attention grabber. Very unusual.
  22. Very nice work. Somewhere in my back up stash of patterns is one that is similar but never got made.
  23. You are right Kevin, he comes running if he hears the ice maker come on or any plastic bag opening that might include food. He is a hunting dog and his main prey is anything he considers edible.
  24. Very imaginative. I can see these doing well in the right location but I'm not even sure that I still own a tie.
  25. The cat clock is done on 1/4" ply and painted black with a sparkly white background. Otis is my best friend although not extremely energetic as you can see.
