  1. I went to a currency conversion site. It said 433 pounds is 510 dollars.
  2. $500 I wonder what shipping would be?
  3. I got mine at Woodcraft. It has LED lights and was around $40. Very happy with it.
  4. The first thing I did was take it off.
  5. I would leave it on. In my experience with motors one that has a lot of starting and stopping won't last as long as one that stays running.
  6. I normally stack cut three pieces. I stack them up and tape them together with clear package tape. I will tape around two inches on the bottom, over the top and two inches on the bottom of the other side.
  7. Welcome to the Village Kerrie. Looking forward to seeing some of your work.
  8. I buy 1/4" maple and oak plywood from Lowes. I have cut some very fine delayed fretwork and never had a problem. The best part about buying it from Lowes is they will cut it in smaller strip that will fit in my car for free and I don't have to take my truck.
  9. Can you take a picture of the top blade holder and post it? I would think it would. I had a Ryobi scroll saw that was 35 years old and it took pin less blades. There should be a Allen screw on the right side as you face the saw. They are not fun to put in but it did take them.
  10. Ok I didn't see this one posted yet. www.scrolleronline.com
  11. I have one I got from Sam's Club. They are very nice.
  12. I wish I had a band saw. I cut that with a spiral blade.
  13. I have only done it by hand. It does sound possible being as the blade tilts and not the table. I would give it a try.
  14. Very nice Wayne. Give us a review after you use it a little. I only use my Dremmel for drilling holes for blades. I don't think I would want to do a lot of sanding with it.
  15. Yes I cut my finger on the blade once. It wasn't very bad.
  16. I don't have a new one. I received a Woodcraft catalog and they have a new scrollsaw for sale. It is made by King. It looks exactly like the Excaliber. The 16" is $599 and the 30" is $899. They didn't show anything in between those two.
  17. I only keep one journal and that is for reloading ammo.
  18. Welcome Jason. I prefer to drill my holes with the Dremmel over my drill press. I buy my plywood at Lowes. I can buy a 4 by 8 sheet of 1/4" maple and oak for $29 and underlayment for $19. The underlayment has one side that is very nice, I have used a lot of it. They will also cut it into smaller pieces for free so I can fit it in my car and not have to take my truck. As far as blades you will probably have to try a lot of different ones to find what you like. I like the FD new 3/0 spirals and not many others like spirals at all. We all like to see pictures so post them as you cut them out.
  19. Go to the scroll saw review thread in this forum and you will get a lot of great info. If you have any more questions after that come back and ask. There are a lot of good saws out there.
  20. I also would hate to see somebody go broke on their saw not knowing if they will like it. I would also hate to see somebody hate scrolling because of a cheap bad saw.
  21. Glad you are getting moved in. Hope it's going well.
  22. The joy of moving, know it well. Have a safe trip and I hope the move goes smooth.
  23. Congrats
  24. It could also be as easy as a loose nut or bolt someplace. I would open it up and check them first.
  25. Welcome to the village Laura. You got a lot of good advice.
