  1. Unfortunately, I live alone.. sooo.. LOL. I have a plastic tube set up I bought, but when I bought my used dewalt, the guy I got it from used small pieces of like 1/2" ID pvc pipe, that he cut to like 5.5" and glued a cap to one end, and the other end it just slips on. Then he had one spring loaded tool holders to keep them mounted on the saw stand. These aren't the exact ones, The ones he used did not have the actual springs.
  2. You could try super gluing the blade ends together?
  3. 1/4" thick curly maple with a ply backer. Measures about 8x10". Cut with Olson #2/0R blade. Sheila Landry Dedigns pattern. I should start getting free patterns.. LOL.
  4. Wow!! That's a lot of puzzles.
  5. Awesome job.. Looks like a nice setup too. So how many puzzles did you bring for a 2 day event?
  6. She has a wine is the answer one.... https://sheilalandrydesigns.com/scroll-saw-patterns/wine-is-the-answer/
  7. The Coffee sign, is 1/4" Ash with a ply backer painted a brown color. It's about 8x10 inches. Cut with Olson #2/0R blades. The Chocolate sign is about 10x12 inches and is 1/4" thick Hickory with a ply backer painted brown also. It is also cut with Olson #2/0R blades. Both are Sheila Landry Design patterns.
  8. I don't much portraits. As for the solid wood, I have the tools to resaw all my stock, so I cut the amount needed in half really.. That also lets me do book matching on the glue up.
  9. Dragon is about 8x10 from about 3/16" thick cherry.. Cut with Olson #2/0R blades, with a ply baker. The sign is about 7x9 made from 1/4" ash with a ply backer. Cut with Olson #2/0R blades. I forgot where I got the dragon from, but the sign is from Sheila Landry Designs.
  10. Than I don't know if we can be friends.. LOL
  11. Thank you. I actually enjoy cutting letters. I think I would rather cut letters than a geometric pattern.
  12. I love the turtle.. do you do your painting after you have applied the cut to the backer?
  13. I like the signs and the pets.. Merlin says "hello" to Yuki.
  14. Deer is 3/8" thick and rougly 8x10 inches, and made from QS Red Oak with a ply backer. Cut with Olson #2/0R blades. The humming bird is from 3/8" curly maple and about 5x7 inches, with a ply backer. Cut with Olson #2/0R blades. The Rather be fishing is about 3/8" thick hard maple with a ply backer. It measures about 11x9 inches and was cut with Olson #2/0R blades. All 3 are Sheila Landry Designs.
  15. Never heard of it... Where do you get it?
  16. I hate cutting through packing or transparent scotch tape.. The dust sticks to the tape and obscures the lines to me too Rocky. I only use it if my pattern is a larger multi page one that needs to be taped together before applying to the painters tape.
  17. What did you use to make it? It looks like wood grain front, but the back like an MDF..
  18. No noise makers here.. Not something I want to get into either.. Though not like CT would give me a permit anyway.
  19. You did a great job on the pattern.
  20. Thanks. It was fun to cut and hang on the wall.
  21. Thanks first go to Granpa for making the pattern for me.. But here is the finished thing. Was a quick cut. Just used a store bought frame, because I didn't feel like breaking out the router and stuff to make a frame today. Pic of the finished project, and of little Kevin who it's for.. He's only 16 grams, but look at that cute nose. He's an Axanthic Western Hognose snake.
  22. When I laid it out, I tried to get the dragon to be resting on top of the sap wood .. Kinda like it was the rocks.
