  1. I really love this one for a couple of reasons, first because the sign is well done and on a perfect piece of wood. But more important is the wonderful meaning of it. When I first read the sign I was puzzled by it, until I read your post. I showed your sign to my wife and enjoyed her smile as I read it to her. Closeness with my wife is my most important thing in my life, so I understand the importance of your sign Dick heppnerguy
  2. One thing I like about you is that you do not hesitate to express your thoughts, whether they are favorable or not. I always enjoy seeing your posts because I know I can always see an honest suggestion or comment. Not just the usual,'nice job,'that is to encourage every piece posted. I don't believe anyone wants to be belittled and criticized but honest suggestive citicism should be taken for what it is. That is what I like about you and your critical and suggested comments. Glad you are so open to that Dick heppnerguy
  3. Roly, My keyboard totally was covering what I was writing and I was unable to see even where my cursor was.. I tried to edit it but gave up and just made the next explanation post.. Dick heppnerguy
  4. Sorry about all the non spaces in the above post. I could not see what I was typing. The IPad keyboard was covering my typing page Dick heppnerguy
  5. My saw almost has an attitude when I a notion my shop..I know that because it seemsicanhearitcalling me as soonasiwakeupinthemorning Dick heppnerguy
  6. Interesting how differences are liked by people. I asked my wife about maybe doing the glittery eyes and she liked that idea,so I made it that way. After I finished it, I ask her if she thought the eyes being black would be better, she liked the glittery eyes. The frame is also a matter of taste. I guess when someone is selling them, they should make variations so there is a choice for different likes, even if it is not your own preference. I guess that is the reason things like cars are painted in so many different colors. What one buys, another dislikes. It's learning process, for me Dick heppnerguy
  7. When one is keeping busy in his or her shop, one is in HAPPY LAND, where these great creations come from. Nice work on all of them Dick heppnerguy
  8. Great little pieces. The cutest little birdhouse so have seen Dick heppnerguy
  9. I am posting this on my IPhone so I hope the photo posts correctly instead of sideways. I took a Charles Deering pattern then made an effort to dress it up with an easy frame and some other simple Halloween icons, along with an orange painted frame in an effort to add some fun to the end product. Did I do that or should I just made a rather plane frame and let the pattern speak for itself. Dick heppnerguy
  10. Here I am trying to figure out how to do "ONE" person so it looks half way like them and you do a large group and get them all picture perfect. You are the man. One to be very proud of, indeed. Dick heppnerguy
  11. a hockey lovers dream to own one of these with their teams on it... nice piece Dick heppnerguy
  12. Dave, You are one creative individual. A really great frame Idea, indeed and of course, coming from you, nicely executed too Dick heppnerguy
  13. I like the plain one better, but both are nice. I have found that what I like is not necessarily what appeals to others and that is a learning process for me that still challenges me with every project I decide to make. Thanks for sharing both of them as it keeps me thinking 'out of my box" Dick heppnerguy

  20. Carl, so glad you are doing better. Getting back on the scroll saw should help a lot of things for you... it relieves stress, gives you peace....renews purpose and allows you to make things that others will cherish forever, because YOU made it for them.. Take care, and pace yourself as you gain back your strength and endurance Dick heppnerguy

  24. Dave, I believe if you try the suggested ebony stain in place of the paint, you will find that it will bind to your glue without a problem and it is so easy to applie too, just wipe it on with a rag Dick heppnerguy
  25. i think the lock tight is put on the threads of the opposing set screw to keep is from backing out and hence cause the blade to bend. Not referring to the swivel part of the screw you anchor your blade with.. I hope this clerifies this question a little. the thread went in two directions, I think that caused the comfusion Dick heppnerguy
