  1. I believe it will be a nice addition to the decoration. At least it gave me a reason to cut them. I really liked them myself, once I painted the backer boards and found the color came out as I hoped it would Dick heppnerguy
  2. Thank you,Jerry. Fairly simple projects but I have been wanting to cut them because I enjoyed them from when I saw them in the magazine and finally found a reason to do so. Dick heppnerguy
  3. Thank you for your comments and your time to express it. Dick heppnerguy
  4. I am happy with them. They are easy cuts but it should be a nice addition to my daughter's bathroom decorations. Dick heppnerguy
  5. A little compound cutting. I love to give that a go, every once in awhile. They are so fun and I still scratch my head in wonderment as to how someone ever dreamed it would be possible to do on a scroll saw. Really fun little items you cut. Thanks for posting them for the rest of us to enjoy as well Dick heppnerguy
  6. Lucky you. I would love it if my wife would be willing to give it a try but so far, no luck. Your wife is enjoying a fun time along with you. Good job, girl. Dick heppnerguy
  7. All I can say is "AWESOME". You captured that scene to the tee. Dick heppnerguy
  8. Wow !! All the cuts certainly is justified in the results. I like all you did and I appreciate also the comments on the procedure you used in your finishing, especially because that is something I have struggled with since I started intarsia and scrolling many years ago. Thanks for posting you wonderfully done project as well as the information as to how you accomplished the final look of it. Dick heppnerguy
  9. You already know that I enjoy your helpful videos too. I have been cutting for several years and probably don't find a lot of new things for me to learn watching but I know some of those that are new to scrolling are probably learning a lot from watching your videos. I really find them entertaining and fun to watch Dick heppnerguy
  10. I was surprised when I saw your projects and all of them stood out to me as Arizona style work. But you show you are not living in AZ. Do you snow bird there in the winter? Nice projects. They did all turn out nice, as you stated. I hope you can keep increasing your heart health. That must be very difficult to deal with every day. Dick heppnerguy
  11. Well done and you can count on him still having this to show his own children a long time from now. Dick heppnerguy
  12. Kids as well as grownups seem to really like their names in wood. I made a couple of them for a few of my great grandkids and every one of them started playing with them right away and continued through out the rest of the evening. I didn't really know what to expect them to do but thought they may just ignore them, but boy was I wrong. You picked a perfect gift for these two little ones. Dick heppnerguy
  13. A great set of projects. All very well done, as are all the pieces you cut. Not sure what you have in mind as a way to cut the two girls but I am sure you will find your answers before the day is finished Dick heppnerguy
  14. I saw these patterns in an issue of scroll saw crafts and knew right away that I wanted to cut it but I really had no one in mind to cut it for so I just sort of forgot about it. My wife mentioned that our oldest daughter was decorating her bathroom in an ocean theme and I immediately that remembers the set of ocean life patterns from the magazine that I wished to cut but hadn't yet. So I looked them up and choose a couple of them to cut for her. I choose a color for the backer boards and after spraying them, I liked the way they looked and so I was happy with them and I hope my daughter is also. Of course I would be happy to cut her some of the other sea life patterns also, should she happen to want them. I just did not want to give her more than she would want on the bathroom walls. As it is easy to see, I cut them from baltic birch play and I used my 'go to' blade, the Pegas #3rev. Dick heppnerguy
  15. We all have things to do with our health where we can improve on how we live. Some it is smoking, some eating or over eating, some Alcohol, others drugs.. some just not getting any exercise. For me it is mostly not drinking enough water. Our health should be our most important focus but it's not for most of us. We have turned into a society of poor choices in our lives. We pay the price of such but we can't seem to always do what we know we need to do. Then there are those that are really focused on their health and do everything they can to only what they know is correct to maintain good health and they end up dying early do to cancer or some generic thing they have no way to control. None of us have any guarantees for a long healthy life. I am a particularly lucky guy as I am almost 83 years old and my health is excellent. I just feel really blessed and also understand I could be dead tomorrow. I hope you find some relief from your problems. Dick heppnerguy
  16. You are probably correct but it really is a nothing sort of project. Dick
  17. as you know, i always enjoy watching your videos and seeing your projects. I am not much of an animal puzzle person but I like this one quite a bit. thanks for posting Dick heppnerguy
  18. Charlie, sorry to hear about your problem. Is it possibly from how and what you eat? I am so sorry to hear that you have that problem. My wife has that problem also but it is due to a high lateral hernia. I know the name of her problem is not exactly what it is called and I have never understood what the doctors called it so it is just a guess, but most people seem to understand what I mean by it. In her case they will not to anything to fix it. I like the great job you did on your plaque, as i always enjoy seeing what you make. Thanks for posting Dick heppnerguy
  19. Looks like the Portland Main lighthouse in the back ground. Very nice project I can see why you have made several of these. A lot of people probably grabbed the others up quickly Dick heppnerguy
  20. very nice.. I particularly love original projects someone creates on their own. I often learn something from original work like yours. Thanks for posting
  21. No I used a #3 Pegas MG rev blade one. That is my 'go to' for almost all my projects. I rarely use anything else anymore. I did use a spiral one the window as the other cuts would have been too small to see Dick heppnerguy
  22. Thank you for the nice comment. I try my best but as I get older and look back on my early projects I see I am not as good as I once was. Dick heppnerguy
  23. Thanks.. It enjoyed doing it as I had put if off for awhile. Glad I finally got to it. Dick heppnerguy
  24. Thank you I have been thinking about cutting this one for a long time and finally got to it Dick heppnerguy
