  8. I think $500 isn't a bad sale after expenses. But then, I don't do craft sales so I really do not have any knowledge of what one can suspect from one of these. Dick heppnerguy
  9. I often cut memorial plaques for people who I find out loose a loved ones. Often, years later, I have run into the receivers of the memorial plaques and say they appreciate them so much, even years later. Such a nice thing to do for others that is always around and never get thrown out like wilted flowers. Good for you. Dick heppnerguy

I still have to give this scroll saw bowl making a shot. Keep up the good work and keep posting them for all of us to see Dick heppnerguy
  15. At first sight I was thinking. 'this is a little hard to see'. Immediately how this thought crossed my mind, I had another thought and it was, to make is look as if the fawn was hiding in natures shadows for it's protection. I am really not sure why you chose this particular piece of wood for this pattern as it is a little difficult to make out easily, but the cutting is of your usual high talent. Ron, I hope you do not see my remarks as criticizing your work, as I did not make the comment to be taken that way. I was just trying to reflect my observation to you. Dick heppnerguy
  16. Nice variety and great work. It should be well accepted at your sale. I will be waiting to see how the sale actually goes for you. Keep us informed Dick heppnerguy
  17. I just started trying to learn to do portrait patterns. I have struggled along and I have done a few, that came out pretty well but I am trying to make an effort to learn all the process so I can do them from memory. I did the lesson that Travis has on making a pattern of William Shattner and I will post what it for you to see. I know it is not a perfect pattern but I am pretty pleased with it and I am going to try and stay away from my own personal criticisms. However I am going to post this in the 'Bragging Rights ' as I will be looking for ideas that will make my pattern better. I WANT to see it through other peoples eyes so I can know what to look for in the coming efforts. It is those criticisms that I am after for my own personal help in my new venture to learn this pattern making. I hope you will give me suggestions as well, as it is apparent that you understand this process very well. Dick heppnerguy
  18. I feel pretty certain that I the ability to make them, just haven't taken the time to try.
