  1. Welcome to The Village from Phoenix Arizona area. Be sure and check out the pattern library and check out all the other features that is offered for free. You can also present a request for a pattern to be made for you. Having fun and being friends here, is a top priority of ours. Dick heppnerguy
  2. first of all, welcome to The Village. I think you will really enjoy it here if you log on often and get to know the regulars here. there are many things to see and enjoy them so try to find the time to explore everything we have to offer here. I am enclosing a link that should help you with your DeWalt saw. Dick heppnerguy
  3. I have posted a few of the results of my first Christmas order and I stated that the request involved several patterns that I was not fond of myself but a customer's request is not to be argued with. I add some of my own colorization and backer boards that were not part of the pattern as well as framing some that really was not part of the item either. In these last two item I added both a frame and on one, corner decorations to try and help it to be a little better appreciated by the receivers of these items. Dick heppnerguy
  4. I also enjoy wild cats but I guess I do not have a favorite one. I love all the wonderful freet patterns that are being made of them and I have cut a few and have more I plan on cutting as time allows. I am with you about the joys of successfully cutting one of these Dick heppnerguy
  5. Here are a couple more for my wife's cousin's Christmas order. I have two more to post and I should have them packed and ready for the post office on Monday. I thought they were a little the way she ordered them so I framed one and added a little color to the other one. I am happy to be getting these finished and on their way soon Dick heppnerguy
  6. I looked through all your famous portraits and I could not find one of me..It must be hanging in the house, in the kitchen as my wife says she has my photo in the kitchen cabinets to keep the mice out of them. It seems to be working pretty well too. Dick heppnerguy
  7. very cute and extremely well done. Congratulations on a great project. Dick heppnerguy
  8. Glad to see you are continuing in your new additional hobby. Like all new hobbies, as time goes by and one keeps after it, it becomes a lot easier with time and your skills develop as you do along. Good for you girl. I love your spirit and your projects Dick heppnerguy
  9. Maybe you are using too much spray adhesive. It only takes a very quick once over, let it sit for about 2 minutes before applying it to the wood. Make sure the wood is sanded well and very clean of dust. Then just a light application of mineral spirits and wait about one minute to remove the pattern. It should almost fall off on it's own. When done this way you should have no residue. If you try to remove the pattern too quickly and a little part of it does stick, you can use a paper towel barely dampened over that area and it should remove any residue completely. I remember when I first tried doing it this way, I was very skeptical about doing it this way and used too much spray adhesive and experienced what you are talking about. Then I read some direction from someone on a different scroll saw page and explained it the way I just did above. Only this guy did not put the pattern on the wood until at least 3 minutes and up to 5 minutes. I did it the way I told you above and it worked perfectly. I was afraid the pattern would lift but I was willing to give it a try. I was pleasantly surprised and it is how I do all my scrolling now, even with a lot of very small fret holes. I never need my blue painters tape any longer and I never have any surface damage when I remove the pattern. Dick heppnerguy
  10. nice collection of project up there. Good addition. You have been a busy person Dick heppnerguy
  11. that is an interesting and fun pattern. You did a great job on it. Way to go. Thanks for posting it for all of us to enjoy too Dick heppnerguy
  12. I am enjoying seeing so many lighted item this year. I will have to search out someone in the family that might like one as we have no room or need for another lamp. Yours looks great. I think I will grab a copy and go on my search among the family and see what comes up Dick heppnerguy
  13. How wonderful for you, the twins new parents and the twins themselves. Hard to believe there is any reason on Earth for a mother to give up these two beautiful babies. We have 12 grand kids and 13 great grand kids. I can not imagine our family without them in it. What a wonderful gift God gave your family with these additions to it. Dick heppnerguy
  14. those are interesting critters you made. Very creative. I like how your dust collector is set up. I can see why everything stays so clean when you saw. I should make more effort for something like that in my shop too. Dick heppnerguy
  15. My wife has a cousin who visits us with two of her grown girls every year. She has purchased some presents for part of her family from me almost every year. I am finishing up the batch for this year now. I have two more to finish and then I start packing them up to mail them to her. I had her sit down with me at the computer and choose the ones she wanted to order. I was amazed that she ordered most of the patterns that do not interest me much and I never thought they would be chosen to have me cut them. But the customer is the one making the choices so here they are. I add some backer boards on the crucifixion project to give them a little color and add some interest to them. They are Steve Good patterns, should anyone want to know that. I cut them in BBPly and the desk project I used a piece of scrap wood for the base. The cross plaque is one I have cut several times before and is one that I personally have always liked and enjoy cutting. Unfortunately I do not remember the designer of this plaque and if I do I will come back and edit it in. Now you can see that I have been doing something in my shop since I got back from Montana and not just sitting around the house all day watching television. Dick heppnerguy
  16. I am beginning to wonder when you sleep. Again, I really enjoy your nice projects. Dick heppnerguy

  21. What a great idea with the double sided display for the project. I would never had thought to do something like that, but now I have a new idea that I know somewhere down the road I will some day use. Thanks for sharing your art ideas. As always, your work is always top notch Dick heppnerguy
  22. Paul, you are lucky you are not me as I get asked year around why I wear my mask....I have to reply, in all honesty, that I am not wearing a mask and this is my normal, God given face. Dick heppnerguy
  23. You just made the receiver of this project, the designer, yourself and all of us very delighted to see your nice finished project. Great gift they will cherish forever Dick heppnerguy
  24. way to go. I too like rabbits and see one every so often on my morning walk. Cute little critter. Keep posting what you cut and we will continue to enjoy watching for them Dick heppnerguy
  25. I looks good to me too. I, like you are all to often critical of my work as I know any and every mistake that has been made, while others do not. Just keep cutting as you do and don't worry about any flaws that are in them as only you can see them and know they are in fact there. Dick heppnerguy
